Please enable DLSS on older cards- it already works with settings file edits

Do not do this you have an AMD card. I have absolutely no idea what it'd actually do but I'd feel bad if something unfortunate happened.

Anyway, for me DLSS is typically greyed out in settings, but I managed to get my GTX960 to run it. When you look in the benchmark directory, there's a settings file called ffxivbenchmarklauncher.ini ; close the benchmark completely, change GraphicsRezoUpscaleType from 0 to 1, save the file, and reopen the benchmark. I'm still undecided on if it's better or worse, but there's no point hiding this away from users.

Here's a screenshot with the stats in the corner. End score is 7306 on near min settings fwiw.

Are you able to get the AMD equivalent to work? I remember before getting a new PC my old 1070 could use the AMD thing but not DLSS.

DLSS will simply not work on anything that doesn't have Tensor cores. If you happened to see the option lit up that doesn't mean it is functioning. You along with everyone else that doesn't have a 2000 series or newer nvidia card will be using FSR. Deal with it.

Dunno if the benchmark is just nondeterministic but I'm getting tiny differences in eye reflections when trying to replicate it with FSR and turning off all the things that aren't supported with DLSS. Even if it isn't actually DLSS this might be a useful setting.

Placebo is one hell of an effect. If I were you I would be posting about including FSR2 and having SE keep it updated so you could have the game look and feel the best it can and not worry about DLSS or anything else you can't run on your hardware.

It really does take a genius level intellect at SE to put something as old and outdated as FSR1 in the game when FSR2 was available to them at the start of this whole graphics update.

The fact that the game uses FSR1 is absolutely baffling. FSR2+ requires motion vector data to work but so does DLSS, which means it's already being provided anyway.
