    Dawntrail and the upcoming system for combining actions

    First of all, I'm 120% up for it, more buttons each expansion isn't the way to evolve, I've got three rows full of skills for my PLD and looking at it makes me grimace.

    What other changes would you like to personally see other than the ones shown in letter from the producer live (Viper skills, dark knight blood weapon and delirium merge etc.)?

    As I did dungeon roulettes with an astro today I noticed that Benefic/Cure/Other variants for other jobs don't automatically get changed to their better variants (Benefic II, Cure II) nor do the latter downscale to the previous, this is because the first variant has a passive effect (15% chance to crit heal) not present in the second version but honestly I'd just remove the effect and make it work like all the rest of the actions.

    I wouldn't mind if they made a system where you could combine skills even by yourself. Imagine being able to use Between the Lines with the same button used for Leylines after you've placed them down. It's practical, saves space.

    Well there hasn't been more actions necessarily. They solved that problem when moving into Stormblood by pruning or merging redundant actions and repeating that process every expansion, but also added an upgrade system to upgrade one action/ability into another.

    The point of combining or not is because some people will prefer them separate and others not.

    I wish they would have taken this approach long before to allow actions like ground targeted aoes to stick around.

    Shadowflare, Flaming Arrow, Freeze, Salted Earth and their like could have benefitted from being allowed to be set on your hotbar as ground targeted or target-centered, or even both simultaneously with different binds. Even the heals that exist today might have benefitted some players to have that option.

    So the changes are akin to the high jump -> mirage dive that was done in early endwalker and then reversed. It won't be like pvp combos, at least as currently described.

    The live letter digest states that you can choose to enable or disable per skill.

    Changes I would like to see is giving me back my procs and my reload weapon animations on machinist. I haven't forgotten, and I will never let you forget either.
