As one of the lesser-used options, I haven't seen a lot of feedback on Face 2, so I'm creating a thread to submit some.

While Face 2 has received a big improvement with the graphics update, there are a couple of points I'd like to weigh in on.

1: Colour & texture bug on facial hair

As shown above, there is a clear mismatch between the character's hair, the sideburns/ cheek area, and the goatee/ chin area. Note that the sideburns and goatee are separate facial features, and have distinct issues.

Both are significantly darker and desaturated compared to the hair, or even the eyebrow, which is a much better match. Additionally, the goatee has a very glossy surface, which depending on the lighting can be very distracting:

2: Unnatural grid of forehead pores

While I appreciate the addition of pores and texture, I feel the current implementation on the forehead and brow looks like it's been stamped on with a roller, following a very straight horizontal line.

In particular, I've highlighted two areas, between the brow and along Face 2's signature forehead creases, where I believe the lines of the pores should follow the underlying skin structure more. You can see how this works by looking closely in the mirror, but I've tried to sketch the flow direction below:

3: Eyelash and eyeliner changes

While other threads such as this one and this one discuss this in greater depth, I'd like to add that Face 2 also sees darkening of the upper lash line and lengthening of the wing liner on the outer corner, which does change the appearance of the eye, giving a more exaggerated hooded look than the original.

4: Increased visibility of neck seam

Finally, as others have noted for other races, genders and face options, I also see a more prominently visible neck seam compared with original. The original does have a seam, but it's far less visible under most lighting.

Conclusion

Overall, I think Face 2 has seen a big improvement and has been quite faithful to the original. However, the colour and shine issue on the facial hair sorely needs to be addressed; and I hope some of the more subtle points which appear to be shared amongst other face feedback threads see some attention.

Thanks to everyone working on it for their efforts, and to anyone reading, feel free to comment on my observations and opinions, and add your own where I missed!
