    Facial Scar(s) Changes

While I have noticed some improvement with the new benchmark, I also still see some issues that are either new (the perpetual smirk on face 4 miqo'te males) or have not been addressed at all. Maybe it's just me, but is anyone else bothered by how the scars look now?

Here is my initial comparison of current game (left) and the benchmark (right)

    And the benchmark update

The scars in the benchmarks have been elongated, or at least the one I have on my character has. I'm not a fan of the color or texture or shape either, but I would have settled for those things if it wasn't so drastically extended. Maybe they wanted this scar to be more visible with the characters facing head on?? But I don't think it was a necessary change at all. And i liked how smaller this scar was. It suited my character more and just looked better overall. Anyone have any similar or different thoughts?

The changes to texture are something I commented on in the first benchmark, and I don't think it has been adjusted in the new version.

I have a Duskwight character using the long scar on the cheek. It currently looks quite deep and ragged but the benchmark version is much flatter and darker, with some texture showing in the sunlight but not much.

To be fair, I have not done research into what the texture "should" look like, but I trusted that they were going for something reasonably accurate in the first place and the updated version looks less convincing and more like it has been painted on.

Nah, I've noticed it too. They look worse on non typical flesh coloured skin, like someone just copy pasted it on top, doesn't even blend in with the skintone at all.

My Highlander's scars look much, much better now, no longer painted on and floating a bit over the actual surface of the skin, but having texture and some depth. Which...they look similar to those you posted, so likely going to be a case of not pleasing everyone.

Agreed, the scar on the face I use looks waaaaaaay better now. I never used it because it looks more like a sticker, but now I probably will.

That being said I can understand how them being longer than before would be a problem. They should keep them the same length and shape wherever possible.

Elongating the scars is another thing I genuinely don't understand how it slipped through the cracks in terms of quality control. Have the same problem with my miqo's face scars aswell - the eye and cheek one are way longer now. :/
