Wow Refugees chose Hrothgar or Elezen?

Doing this for square enix's sake. Been wanting to know for years if Wow players chose Elezen or Hrothgar?

It seems to me a a lot of Wow refugees went Elezen; which goes against those in the marketing department who would think "monster races" like Hrothgar would be the attraction for such players.

WoW player here, but I don't consider myself a "refugee", as I am still an active player of WoW. I play a Hrothgar in FFXIV, and my most commonly played characters in WoW are Worgen.

I'm not a refugee as I've played FF14 since Heavensward and WoW since vanilla and just play both games. But I can confirm I will be going female hrothgar when they drop. My favorite WoW races are mag'har orcs, zandalari trolls, tauren, and vulpera. So yeah, it checks out that I'd be excited for a race that isn't just normal human in FF14.

i started WoW during TBC era and quit during BFA iam also a FF14 1.0 player my favorite race in WoW was nightelf and my favorite race in 14 is female midlander

iam not a refugee though so i doubt my opinion counts

It all disproves the idea that most would shoehorn themselves to "wow-looking races." Very interesting outcome indeed!

On WoW I mostly played female tauren since vanilla (but if there was a big cat race I'd be playing that instead). I didn't want to play ffxiv for a long time, because the races seemed samey and bland to me (particularly for the female options) and especially after the announcement of male hrothgar - but no female ones for a long time - I was VERY upset and refused to play the game on principle. I only gave ffxiv a real chance last year and I've mostly been playing female miqo and femroe. Miqo has the feline features that I enjoy, but not the strong physique I desire, whereas femroe has the better physique but looks too human for my liking. Needless to say I will fanta to femhroth the second it's out and never look back.

I guess this goes against the point you're trying to make with this thread, but I can't help it, I'm a stereotypical WoW player and I want to play a big beast character *shrugs*
