I aim to please!
But seriously, isn't that just the flipside of having anyone who wants to pvp go to the arena to do it? IMO it's way less annoying to have pvp restricted to the arena.

wait, jumping is exciting? ah crap! I guess I missed the boat on that one. It annoyed the shit out of me in WoW.

Nobody said you can't have pvp, you're getting an arena for it. Honestly, that's the best scenario, because if you go there, you're guaranteed to find somebody that actually wants in on it. You can have it, I don't care for it. My outlook is this; it doesn't matter what the game is you're playing, there is always somebody better than you. I don't care to prove that, I'm here for PvE. It's the same damn reason I don't play Call of Duty and other such games online, it's much less fun having you ass handed to you. Sure, I may well suck at PvP, but guess what? I don't care, I have no interest in pissing contests.

that's fine, but you're not getting my point either.Nobody said you can't have pvp, you're getting an arena for it. how about this...all pvp within city limits = arena. outside the cities, we should be able to /duel. there's plenty of times when standing around waiting for timers, etc. that we've all wished we could be testing gear, doing something, pvp. people that enjoy pvp aren't a virus or even an eyesore, it's fun to watch, and fun to be involved in, if YOU, and people like you don't like it..go turn around, go somewhere else, OR....enjoy it while we entertain you. I don't see how it's even possible for anyone to get all hot and bothered over something like this lol.
and in case you haven't noticed, you're already in a pissing contest, silly :P it's an MMO, a competitive game. if you're not taking part, you best be only using AF gear. for me, I'll be the guy with the stream that can put out skyscraper fires. feel free to water the daisies. as long as it's fun for you <3

Except that as has been stated earlier, most players don't want pvp outside of the arena. By keeping it limited to the arena you are guaranteed to find somebody to answer your request positively. Lets put it this way, if I ewant pvp I'll go to the arena, if not, I don't want to be annoyed by your requests for it from me.that's fine, but you're not getting my point either.

Not really. Without pvp, it's me vs the game. I'm in absolutely no rush to be first at anything, or to be the best [insert class here] on the server. Some folks are, and for them maybe it is a pissing contest, but it's not for me, that's not what I enjoy in this game. I aim to be a solid player with a solid group of friends to play with, that's it.

There is no reason they couldn't put in an option to "Refuse all duels", that way you are never bothered by it. Personally, I'd love the option since it really does help with the boredom that often comes with standing around and waiting for things to happen.Except that as has been stated earlier, most players don't want pvp outside of the arena. The issue with that option is people start bad mouthing the people who have auto reject on. I've played MMO's with duel and the people who sit there and spam duel on people get pissed after being rejected 50 times. I don't know if the blacklist has a limit on how many people can be on it but I don't want to find out.
with the option to receive a duel invite turned off, I'd love to know how someone is going to badmouth you about it oO that makes no sense at all. not dueling is the same as not wanting to do anything else. there's always people that don't want to duel, even pvp addicts don't want it now n then, that's why the option to deny a request is there. people tend to respect it, and move on.The issue with that option is people start bad mouthing the people who have auto reject on. I have never seen anyone sit and spam duel someone in such a fashion. If it has happened it is incredibly rare and its the exact reason we have a blacklist; those people are likely exhibiting that type of behavior no matter what they are doing. There is absolutely no reason to restrict fun gameplay options just because 1 in 100000 players might abuse it. If we start doing that then there won't be much of a game left. The issue with that option is people start bad mouthing the people who have auto reject on.
