Let's not forget what they have on their plates atm with 2.0 just around the bend.
To call the team lazy is low, and shows how ungrateful you are for what they have and will continue doing for this game.
It's not going to kill you not to have a damn swimsuit.
It's not their fault that you decide not to check out some of the events when the game was FREE.

2 1/2 years and were still working on an (Alpha) version game. We are paying for an alpha outdated engine. So yes, I will say what I think of this "team." Topic on hand is why they don't simply release last years items with the new ones this year? Not so hard and it won't distract them from 2.0 anyways since the content already exists.

For all you Eorzeans who are looking forward to having fun in the sun, our summer event is scheduled to kick off during the beginning of August, where everyone will be able to obtain stylish yukatas!

Unfortunately we will not be distributing the swimwear from last year’s summer event, but if you missed out on the previous event, our threads this year are second to none!

We had really wanted to provide the wallpapers that were so popular last year as well, but the development team is crunching really hard on version 2.0 preparations and had to put it off. Next year we are planning to do what we did for our previous event, so please look forward to this upcoming one as well as the future!

For those wanting the Swimsuits back, it doesn't mean SE won't ever bring them back. For Summer-related attire, there aren't that many categories, so they may very well design out even cooler / cuter Swimsuits for next year.

I can't wait for the Summer Festival and the Decorated Party Ferry Boat from Ul'dah to Limsa and other decor.

This is highly disappointing. Myself and my wife both purchased a 90 day sub with no intention of playing until the summer event started.. for the swimsuits. Already have AF + Ifrit/Garuda weapons so there's really no reason to play. We only wanted them for cosmetics for 2.0. Not sure why you cannot just allow both.

Well that's unfortunate. Seeing as you've been registered since April 2011, did you keep up with any dev tracker posts? They pretty much told us last year we won't be getting the swimsuits from event this year.
