Viera/Hrothgar hats would be a great start. If they announced that at the next live letter next week I could forgive a lot of their endwalker mistakes/negligence.

CBU3 doesn't do surprises hardly ever. You will know pretty much everything that will be in the expansion long before it is launched. People have already even created estimated (with a high degree of accuracy) timelines for when the content will release down to the day it will release give or take a week.

I prefer to see games that don't spend a lot on marketing. If i'm suddenly seeing trailer specific cutscenes, or celebrities in trailers, paying millions for real world promos like having an artist paint art of the game at the Sistine Chapel, or make a mural of the game out of a hundred acres of flowers, etc etc. I'm suddenly suspicious that that game needs that much advertising to sell because it is actually bad.

BG3 and Deadpool had minimal big budget marketing and sold a ton.

The media tour embargo lifts on Thursday (or very early Friday). There will also be a launch trailer on the 14th.

I don’t know if you’re a new player, but this is pretty normal. ShB and EW we knew almost nothing about in terms of story until the launch trailers where we were able to actually begin theory crafting. They hold their cards close to their chest.

A large bulk of information will come in the form of interviews with Yoshi P from publications like Easy Allies, IGN, and streamers and influencers when the embargo lifts.

As Yoshida also mentioned during the last PLL, the media tour this time includes a vertical slice of the MSQ which I believe is new for them. They usually just let you do a dungeon and play around with the new jobs.

The media tour in 2 days (where 100 content creators or so will release videos and website articles about Dawntrail previewing new areas and systems).

The nearly 100 interviews Yoshi-P probably did with those creators/journalists.

The live letter scheduled for the middle of the month where we will see a really hype Launch Trailer made of actual game footage of the MSQ. This tends to be a lot more of a spoiler than the normal trailers, so people have to choose carefully if they want to spoil themselves a bit in exchange for hype.

Sometimes they also release a music video of the main theme of the expansion alongside story footage on their youtube channel.
