I know I probably have a super unpopular opinion, but my character looked absolutely fantastic in the previous benchmark, and now she looks weird

look at her eyes, she had mad mascara (or whatever the makeup around the eyes is called, which got heavily reduced , and the lightning makes it look like she put makeup on 1 eye and forgot the other, her hair no longer casts shadow on her face (which looks really weird), shadows on the barrels behind her are reduced, people complained we had dead eyes, but now they look glazed over (and it looks like one of my eyes is lighter then the other, which, its not...

I really hope we get the option to use either the new or the old benchmark characters, cause I'm really not a fan of these changes

I'm happy for everyone who likes the new change without the makeup but I miss it.
Really hope the devs put it in as an option for us in the character editor.

That said, I'm happy with the other changes and have to say good job on that.

Try lowering gamma in the graphics settings to 0; see if that brings some of the darker color back. Probably not, but worth testing.

Sadly no but it helped a bit with the overly bright lightning in my eyes, so thanks.

It's just more evidence for character creation to be expanded; it's too limited. Every character should have 10+ eye choices

Yeah, I know they added it with the 1st benchmark, which made me super happy, so them reverting it kinda feels like taking away a present they previously gifted me, I hope they add it as an option at the aesthetician at least, and can we please select more then 1 option from him, I really don't want to give up my freckles for pretty makeup

This is an unfortunate side effect of introducing changes that fundamentally change the way your character looks vs pre-upscale. Even if the change looks better (and I think the v1 eyelashes did look better), people will complain that it changed the way their character looks, which is valid, and now we're left disappointed because we had something new and pretty dangled in front of us, only to have it taken away.

My character looked fine in 1.0 Benchmark, looks fine now, and this discussion broke me last time so I'm not even gonna bother anymore.
