[Updated Benchmark Dawntrail] Hairstyles bugs. UV cut at neck.

Hello, this is a report I made last time. It's a small one but I think its not how it's intended to be. This hairstyle has the hairline still pixeled, like in the original version, and a noticeable cut on the right side of the hairline (marked in yellow in second image):




This one has a noticeable cut in the texture at the back of the neck:


This one has floating geo on the front of the hair (marked in yellow) and also some pixelated textures on the hairline at the sides:




And for the last one. This is not hair related, and it appears with any hair, but I can see a UV cut on the neck with race clothes and without. Specially with race clothes.:







Maybe people can post in this thread if they see any other hairstyle with not updated textures?

The new lighting definitely makes the textures in the hair extra noticeable for sure.

there are plenty of hairstyles with weird transparency issues. I've found these two but it wouldn't surprise me if there are way more

I can see it as well! But i think its not a hair issue, since the artifacts appear on the body only as well:

Agreed on the neck seam. It's quite jarring as it draws exactly where the cut between the high resolution head and the rest of the body happens. This is one of the reasons why we need a full body update as well.

Hairstyles have not been changed much either. Some have been improved but as others have mentioned in a different post, it's because the polygon count is still low.

I have also written feedback on the male miqo'te face 1, should you wish to check it.

Hopefully they fix hairstyles properly in the future.

Crossposting from my own thread/post now that I see there's a more universal thread:

Fem Miqo have a few hair gap issues. I noticed this issue of gaps in the underside/back of the hair in the 1.0 benchmark as well, but it's arguably worse now because there are shading issues to go with it.

Apologies for the massive images, but I didn't want to resize them to make sure the gaps would be visible.



This isn't the only hairstyle this issue affects, but it is the worst offender. There are four others that have this issue as well.

I have looked into hairstyles and their bugs and I have found at least 25+ hairstyles on manra that had issues with either floating hair, translucent hair or holes in hairstyles. They vary in degree. I don't know if I can post all of them here, I think it would be better to have an imgur album to show all the issues I found (since it would be at least 50-75 images).
