I mean, when SE themselves have said that there will be some alterations with the update and yet people feel the need to point out every single one like it's not supposed to be there, isn't something wrong?
SE have said multiple times that there will be changes. Why can't people seem to understand that some changes has to be done?
Some changes are worse than others, sure.
But to point out every single tiny one, that's just obsession.
Do people really want FFXIV to have a visual upgrade or do people want to keep the 10+years old graphics?
Maybe SE should've made a survey before they started working on it to see what people actually really want.

Because we as players have no solid way of knowing which changes are """necessary""", and which are a result of oversight/error/not getting around to it yet/etc, and if we're unhappy with what we see it's better to say something on the chance that its the latter. If we're wrong and its the former, SE artists and devs already know that and can just move to the next bit of feedback. Nor can you convince me that subtle changes to the shape of facial features are needed to make them fit the new rigs, given that the existing eye/nose/mouth/face options are quite different from one another yet can all use the exact same rig no problem.
In any case, saying nothing is the best way to guarantee that nothing will change. The only thing that could be less useful than not giving feedback, is complaining about people who do. We aren't the ones who are obsessed.

Feedback is always good.
And it's true, we don't what changes are necessary or the result of errors. Like the Moonkeeper fangs and Lalafell teeth.
But when will people consider when a change is a necessary one? A month after DT launch? A year?
Where to draw the line when the feedback is based on functional model appearances or simply personal preferences?
That seems needlessly complicated, and a bit gatekeepery.
Like we are only allowed to provide feedback if the subject of the feedback impairs the imagined capabilities of the character? That seems like a rather arbitrary line to draw for game characters. Or does function in the context of game characters also include estethic consideration? Like "the function of this face is to look pleasing".
And what is an error exactly in this context? Is an severe estethic downgrade for most users of a face an error? (for example, look in the thread about fem hyur) Or is that the personal preference of a significant number of people?
There is probably no solid answer to that question. There are even probably people who will never be satisfied with the new graphics. But it doesn't change anything? The point is that you people coming here and making judgements on whether any piece of given feedback is valid, accomplishes nothing except bloating the thread more. The devs will decide what to change and keep, they don't need your help. If you think people are being unreasonable about their preferences and expectations, then just don't engage, rather than making snarky remarks like what started this.
It's just like you said, the devs knows and will decide what to change or keep.
Yet there's been people who's complained that their feedback wasn't adressed between the 2 benchmark versions.
Was that because they didn't have time to adress them all, or was it in fact that the devs decided that those feedbacks weren't necessary.
We don't know, it's not like they make a list of feedback that they didn't deem necessary.
But if those feedbacks are still not adressed after launch, when can we as players come to term whether or not it is what the devs have decided how they want it?
I have no problems with people whom voice their concerns regarding some of the changes.
I do however worry that the very same people whom are pointing out everything are the ones that'll will get hurt the most in the end since SE have said that some visual changes will have to be done.
So I simply hope that people can keep it in mind that if something they voice as feedback isn't adressed due to the devs decisions that they can come to term with it and try to adjust and/or find some other options so that they can feel good about the character they'll be playing in DT and onwards.
but literally another person advises me to make a comparison of all the details that I am not satisfied with. Me: I want to do it. You: Don't do it.
Yes, I'm going to point it out, because they promise us that they will recreate the characters as accurately as possible. They have done what we have now. also SE themselves say on the benchmark page that they are open to feedback and ready to correct or make necessary changes. That is, they ask for feedback themselves. And what I don't like is up to me to decide, that is, any elements that don't look right. Is there a smile? No. But there was. Were the eyes of a different shape and changed? Yes. So you need to inform, and so on.
just five comments and the most polite request to pay attention to the problems of hyurs * my opinion*. If these comments deserve to be banned, then I do not know what to say here. But I was lynched, as if I broke into their house and stole their favorite vase.I agree with you about bans, ha ha. I do not know how reddit works, maybe I personally offended the moderator with something, or he got up on the wrong foot. And is there an opportunity for them to ban the entire account, or did the users give me dislikes and the page was deleted because of this. But the fact is that no one will be happy when their community, which they like, ban you
and actually, what's wrong with my posts? I never get personal, do I? *not counting the previous post, where I pointed out new artists and 3d designers. Yes, I went too far, but no one is perfect. It's just that sometimes I start to feel like I'm the only one who sees the difference, and that I should just keep quiet. But if no one gives feedback, then the company can do anything. Leave the same fangs intact.

I mean, read what you just said. "What's wrong with my posts? I never get personal, except that time I did, but oh well lmao."
I mean this in a positive and constructive manner, but you really need to take a step back from being so in your feelings about your character. I understand the differences are enormous to you but to the majority of other people they're barely noticeable. I'm not saying that to belittle what you're feeling, I'm saying it so you can understand why you're getting these reactions from so many people. They're not out to attack you personally, they either can't see what you're talking about at all or the differences seem very minor, and the more you pop off about it the more unhinged it comes across.
Instead of posting a long diatribe about how all the people who disagree with you are cultists, or posting the same "IT'S NOT MY CHARACTER AAAAAA" message over and over, I would recommend drafting a feedback post with a few images marked up in MS Paint or whatever showing exactly what you're talking about alongside a precise text description explaining what you're referring to with proper spelling and grammar. Then you can leave that in a feedback post here and/or Google translate it to Japanese and leave it in the JP feedback thread. The devs are the people who are going to address whatever you have a problem with and the easier you can make it for them to understand your concerns the more likely it is that your concerns will be addressed. Random people on Reddit or this thread aren't going to be of any help to you.
Ultimately, if you provide your feedback and it isn't addressed, the sad truth is you may just have to deal with it. The devs said they'll get the new models as close as they can, but that may not be close enough for your subjective preferences. That's why everyone is getting a free fantasia. In my own case I was pretty annoyed that a makeup detail I liked was removed because of all the people whining about differences from the original models. I left my feedback about it in the JP thread and I'm encouraging others who liked that detail to do the same, but if it doesn't get reverted I'll just have to live with it. It is what it is. All you can do is make your voice heard and hope for the best.
