I’m happy they did more and are open to doing more. That’s hopeful news. Is there a known good way to send them our feedback directly? The forums are really tiring me out. All the hostility and immaturity and trolling going around is making it real tough to just give sincere and detailed feedback. I’ve never seen people get banned for harassment and bigotry or troll threads get deleted either. I’ve done my best to put effort and civility into leaving that feedback on these forums but I’d love to just spare my mental health and send it directly. Cut out the negativity and let them decide for themselves what feedback they find valuable or not, right?

This is more or less the feedback I've been giving in the Japanese thread. Is there a known good way to send them our feedback directly? The forums are really tiring me out. The moderation team there is extremely active (sometimes so active that people freak out a little), but otherwise just as silent as here.
And yeah both the devs and the players would benefit from a proper feedback process because it's been very chaotic to follow (and manage, I imagine).
Did you know that there's an official thread to give feedback on the cloud server test in every region? :^) Why was there one for this test but not for this? Who knows!
It does seem strange that there’s no official place or channel to provide feedback despite them repeatedly asking for it. Not even any forms or guidelines to streamline things and format feedback to be easier to collate. The “general discussion” forum has just devolved into a mostly chaotic unofficial feedback forum wild west. It might not be a problem if people could behave themselves better like they apparently do on the JP forums but we’re never going to clear that low bar over here sadly lol. Even so, I would think a standardized feedback template would help them tremendously, regardless of region. This is more or less the feedback I've been giving in the Japanese thread.

I swear to god, if they undid the changes on elezen because of you lot I'll lose my mind lol
"You have a heart of gold. Don't let them take it from you!"
I was watching it with my friend who's fluent in japanese and she said that he said they adjusted really small details such as the creases in specific eyelid patterns and other adjustments. So doubt they did huge changes to hugely change the overall look of the characters in 1.1 so I wouldn't worry about it given they only had around 2 weeks to do anything.
Some people characters have already been updated and elezen kinda looks the same.
However he said they will continue address feedback in future patches and beyond because they couldn't add everything. I personally think this just means bugs but~ you never know. Personally I think its really bad they're open to keep changing characters through out 7.x..
Hope they're ok with giving everybody a free fantasia everytime.

I hope, they revert the Elezen changes.
Cheers

The monument to hypocrisy and irony that is this whole thread. "We're only advocating for our own characters" while forgetting "their" characters are shared with every player in the world. I know it's easy to forget, but your face and hair combo really isn't that unique. Thousands of other players are using it, and your 'fixes' are being forced on everyone else's characters, but nevermind that. "Fuck you got mine" mentality. As I've said before, I'd much rather they let you guys live in the past with extra choices, than forcing the old models on everyone else.
That was so cute.
Did it make you feel better?

It's never going to go entirely "back to the old models" in terms of the altered graphics.
In many cases I suspect that the people who like the updates are liking the overall vibe of increased textures while not noticing the finer details, and it's quite possible that the corrections being asked for would make the characters look even better in ways they hadn't realised were wrong.
Even for me, being instantly aware that the character appearances felt off, it took me weeks to recognise some elements of what had actually changed.
I also think some people have just opened up their pre-saved character data and watched them look all pretty in the benchmark trailer, when as I have raised in a recent post here, the character looks quite different and more beautiful in the staged close-up shot than how they look in the character creator, when the latter is how they look when standing around and in basic cutscenes.

There are plenty of people who have expressed they want options so that people who like the update get to keep the features they like. The monument to hypocrisy and irony that is this whole thread. The largest thread on that issue was quite literally called "make the update optional", making it very clear that the intention of most people unhappy with the update is not that they want to take it away from those who like it.
We would just like the option to "opt out" of it (technical questions whether this is possible aside - I'm talking about the intentions here).
You are robbing this whole discussion of its nuance if you attempt to discredit those giving feedback in this and past threads with simplified and often untrue "fuck me, got mine" accusations and disparage them as living in the past, while making a suggestion (more options) that "our" side has repeatedly brought forward as well.
