That's absolutely not an issue at modern render resolutions above 1080p. There comes a point where the game just needs to stop catering to 15 year old hardware.

I'm not so sure, I'm not fond of how the chainmail texture in the current game looks as your character moves slightly for the beathing animation, the pixels flicker in a super distracting way. I can imagine a woken cloth texture like that doing the same.
