Because yesterday I did something stupid and asked for support from the reddit community. What a stupid thing that was. I gave them photos as an example, where it is visible to the naked eye, * I am silent about such details as different mouths, eye shape and so on* that the general appearance of the character looks different and I urge the community to pay attention to hyur's problems, all very politely and with words of love. And what do you think? No one agreed, lol, moreover, some even scoffed, while others just say, go into another character. I think Yoshi and his game still have appeal for me, but this cult of the perfect leader and the perfect game discourages me. And I only slightly criticized the current state on reddit, but they just subsequently deleted my post and banned my account. For me, the ff14 reddit community just doesn't exist anymore. I will speak very sharply, but it seems that even if the developers spit in the face of those people, they will say that everything is fine and it tastes like fresh dew. I'm sorry if it sounds so categorical.

Isn't face 7 meant to be modelled after the Warrior of Light posterboy?
If so SE might want that face to look more aged/endured because of all what the WoL have been through, through out all of the trailers etc.
Looking at a comparison between the 2 faces that share the same sculpt, the one that's not the WoL (original) doesn't show the same age to it.
So I just think they want the posterboy face to look more aged intentionally.
I mean, why else would they put in that extra work to one and not the other if not?[…]

So if you happen to like EW M Middie Face 7, welp, you’re screwed. You will get those profound nasolabial folds & aging line and you will like it.

Mm.. I remember how long people was asking for the WoL facial hair option, but SE couldn't add it as a facial option, so they simply had to add it as it's own face.
And I guess that since it appears to be a 1:1 of the WoL posterboy face, any changes to his face will be present on the face 7 as well.
So if SE wants him to be more rugged/aged then face 7 follows suit.

It would be nice if all faces, regardless of race or gender could have an age toggle.
Some might like a face but doesn't want it to be young looking, or vice versa.
But we all know by now that FFXIV character creator is limited and expect new hairstyles being added, not much else will.
Like, the Hyur head 7 took years before that got added.

Thank you, I wish you only the best, I do not hate you, we disliked each other from the very beginning, but nevertheless, I am of the opinion that reddit, as they said here on the forum. toxic echo chamber. They don't like any criticism when the first benchmark came out, even here on the forum there was a topic why ff14 reddit likes the new look, but on the forum they only complain, and it's all about the lighting. And it turns out that when Yoshi issued an appeal for a new benchmark, it turns out that reddit agrees that they have changed not only the lighting. Where the wind blows, so do they, the user.

That is, it makes no difference to them whether there are dissatisfied or not. The most they highlight of the problems is mikote's fangs or elezen's smile. The community is as tolerant as possible, and there can be no objective criticism there. Well, or when their favorite streamer says that there are problems with the content, then yes, the crowd will pick it up and make post after post about it.
if you think that I personally say that everyone there is not like that, then no, the people there are wonderful, but the community itself... a herd instinct when it comes to something not so positive. I hope I can do it right, since I don't have any drawing skills, and it takes a very long time to circle each pixel, which I do, hehe. And I hope the developers will take this feedback into account if I manage to do everything right.

You are entitled to have whatever opinion you want about your character. My point was that you shouldn't make rude comments about an entire group of people just because they don't agree with your opinion.

I can't see your posts there because they were deleted but judging by your behavior here I would have to assume you had a meltdown about people not agreeing with you and you said some things unsavory enough to warrant a ban. If people were getting banned from the sub just for disagreeing with each other there wouldn't be anyone left.

SE have said multiple times that there will be changes. Why can't people seem to understand that some changes has to be done?

Some changes are worse than others, sure.
But to point out every single tiny one, that's just obsession.
Do people really want FFXIV to have a visual upgrade or do people want to keep the 10+years old graphics?

Maybe SE should've made a survey before they started working on it to see what people actually really want.

Because we as players have no solid way of knowing which changes are """necessary""", and which are a result of oversight/error/not getting around to it yet/etc, and if we're unhappy with what we see it's better to say something on the chance that its the latter. If we're wrong and its the former, SE artists and devs already know that and can just move to the next bit of feedback. Nor can you convince me that subtle changes to the shape of facial features are needed to make them fit the new rigs, given that the existing eye/nose/mouth/face options are quite different from one another yet can all use the exact same rig no problem.

In any case, saying nothing is the best way to guarantee that nothing will change. The only thing that could be less useful than not giving feedback, is complaining about people who do. We aren't the ones who are obsessed.
