You could please most if the adjusted features were added as new options as opposed to replacing old ones.
New benchmark is MASSIVELY improved. I can tell there are still a few changes (mostly the lip shape) but overall my character is actually recognizable as herself again.

My biggest issue was rounding up her cat-shaped eyes
I am glad that they fixed it - a tiny bit, but that make such a huge impact

Also we don't have to talk about the lighting fix - that alone makes the characters look so much better than in the first benchmark

I LOVE having back my cateyes! Very pleased! But I have no clue why the eyebrows got changed again and even more different than original
Also face marks on forehead stayed more visible like in the previous benchmark and the lips still have a slight difference even though my face model has very similar lips so the difference isn't that huge as with other)
But I'm kinda disappointed about the second-eyebrow change
Even with eyebrow shape 2 which always has the "saddest" look they look kinda mean
first comparison after the first benchmark release plus the new one
and eyebrows #2 aka the "straight" ones..
Overall I am happy because for me the eyes were the most important thing

Having my issues with image-URLs so now I got imgur ^^
I created some GIFs for especially the huge changes in the eyebrows on my Moon Miqo - Face 2 - Eyes 6 - Eyebrows 4

also the direct comparison of the eyebrows to the second change in benchmark 1.1
and for extreme example - eyebrows 2 in comparison (as these are always the most straight ones)

left is new benchmark, right is current ffxiv
face 1 moon cat
too tired and out of effort to get better shots and edit showing specific spots im mentioning.
i cant exactly say im pleased with mine, again, the only smaller mouth option being made large as well, the eye scar is so long it looks unbalanced now?, nose to lip ridges are super narrow, oh and my age old complaint of m miqo face 1 having no eyebrows became even worse, they some how lost even more of their already non existent eyebrows >.> and general proportions for the face look off, giving a massive derp ness to it for me, all in all i think i just give up on my main character, corvo mori is no more RIP
lighting and textures upgrades are great, drastic changes to shape and proportions of faces are quite the opposite.. SE Devs you all are amazing and have done so much work and i dont like being that downer, but i hope these issues get fixed, not just for myself, but for everyone whos character has drastically changed for the worse due feature shapes and proportions

I think for the most part it's an improvement. The eyes looks less dark and empty and "evil", and the waxiness of the skin is pretty much completely removed by the new lighting.
However, when put in certain lighting... we do get a permafrown revealed that he did not used to have. Although to some extent Elezen have always looked a little wonky in certain types of lighting, so I can live with this, probably.
His lips are still slightly the wrong shape, and that does not matter much to me personally but I can imagine others might have more issues with it.
The one thing that absolutely still needs to be fixed is that Duskwight Elezen still have an incorrect face texture for face 2, 3 and possibly 4, taken from Wildwood, that gives them dark circles under the eyes that they never used to have. I think that will make a lot of difference in the "friendliness" of the face, too.

Even though this wasn't necessary at all, the dev team went the extra mile for us and updated the benchmark...
Thank you very much is an understatement here.
Goodluck and an error free run to the early access finish line to the dev team!
And i may make enemies now... but they deserve the rest after dawntrail is out.

While I do like the changes, one of the main issues I have are the lips. I noticed that viera face 4 lips look way too BIG for their faces, and that aura face 2 (fish face) lost their dimples. My face 3 viera looks somewhat the same, but lips 4 lost their smiles and lips 2 lowerlip looks too puffy. I'll probably change it to lips 1, but my point still stands. Lips are a bit odd in some races.

My brain has decided I don't get to sleep tonight, so, benchmark. I tried to get the angles right but I'm not sure on account of it's 6 am and I have not been able to sleep. (don't... don't compare color, that's not what's being compared here or I would have been assed to move from where I left him.)
e: i am so tired. screw it. have url. https://imgbox.com/osxEAzKu
Face shape seems different (narrower and less soft, mostly), will need to do a more detailed breakdown with better comparison lighting once I've gotten any sleep to be sure. Brows still seem thinner than live, but at least it's a small difference this time and one I mind a lot less than the rest. More concerning, the lip shape issue is still there; his lips have a much more shallow curve in live, and unlike the rampant issue of beestung lips among women it makes his lips look weirdly thin in comparison, and i'm pretty damn sure this isn't just lighting. More concerning is that his lower lashes are thinner, smaller, and fill less of the lower lash line! Where are his beautiful lashes! Who stole his mascara!
Don't get me wrong: this is much, much better than the old benchmark. This still is not my boy. Maybe it's his brother? But it ain't him.
