Trying to argue with or convince people that their characters are fine by your standards is about as cringe as people jumping to the defense of an expansion because someone said they didn't like it, imo.
Change sucks, but we're talking about characters people have been potentially playing for a decade, it's okay to nitpick, it's okay to vent.
I'm happy with this iteration of the benchmark for the most part. Noticed a couple of technical issues that need resolving. (Neck Seams, Missing/Lower Res than desirable textures). The new eye highlights/highlights in general are much better, even if they are overpowering in some lighting scenarios where I personally believe they shouldn't be. I've seen some people believe that the old static lights are re-enabled as a result of that. Skin looks way better. Some hairs/scales need a second pass. I've noticed its a little tricky to get the right brightness on some shades of Au'Ra Limbal rings. Overall good update. Definitely looks better than live.
They will have to lock in final designs at some point, may already have. I'm hoping people understand that Yoshi-P has stated there will be changes they don't necessarily agree with, which is why the Fanta Quest is being added. I 100% understand the attachment to the characters we've all used for a decade or more. Unfortunately the push for a Graphics overhaul from the wider community is going to also rely on people willing to compromise on some aesthetic decisions the devs are GOING to make. I'm just hopeful people make CONSTRUCTIVE USABLE criticisms the devs can actually put action towards, but also understand that you may have valid PERSONAL criticisms that the devs don't feel aligns with their vision for the games future. If you believe everything is perfect the way it is or don't really care about the changes, that's cool too.
Quit being jerks to each other over this.

Yes, I really appreciate we're getting a free fantasia for some minor corrections. The thing with the corners of the mouth is just that there isn't really a similar face I could switch to, because the corners look weird on all faces, just less bad on some. So a Fantasia won't really solve the issue.I'm happy with this iteration of the benchmark for the most part. Noticed a couple of technical issues that need resolving. The lighting looks much, much better. The fact the faces don't look completely flat when they're in shadow is wonderful. I do still think some of the shots in the cutscene aren't very flattering angle/lighting-wise, but I think for the most part it's not the lighting engine itself to blame anymore. The lip shine is going to take some getting used to though!
However. Femroe face 2 brow creases are still. completely and utterly painted on. There is NO data on the normal map, so the brow creases just look plasticy and wierd.
The complete and utter lack of any shadows on the brow give the impression of the forehead, brow ridge and bridge of the nose being a completely different shape - smooth and airbrushy.
I think I've come to terms with the lightened ash mark and the darkened pupils but this.. this is going to really, really bother me. I know female roes are the least played race/gender combo but it feels like every other race has had care put into sculpting their creases and lines, we just... didn't.

I love that they listened to the different eyeliner/lashline feedback and changed it. Also suprised that they darkened the eyebrows to reflect the current ones. Personally, I'll only have to change the eyebrow shape, overall I'm content with the changes

I am happy with the changes for the most part, and I'm glad they fixed the weird rigging for female elezen mouths. However, I am still unhappy about the forced default smiling expression. Before, the lip shape for female elezen face 4 curved downward, giving her a more neutral face.
However, in the benchmark, the lip shape has remained changed so that it curves upward in a constant smile. I have seen other screenshots from other races with the same issue; the resting default face should be more neutral in general, so I hope they change this.
