    Can we have a FATE Logbook please?

    There are a lot of zones that have these big FATEs that nobody goes near anymore because of how long they take and the people required to bring them down.

    So would it be possible to please get some sort of log like Wondrous Tales specifically for Large Scale fates that provide rewards and incentives for players to revisit these zones and participate.

    The best they can do, is likely something akin to shared fates, but that has a limited shelf life.

    For HW and other zones, there is Relic Steps that need em.

    ARR has Atma and the occasional rare book fate.(That even if players are mowing all the fates down, the Rare Fate is still Rare. even after adjustments)

    While a ingame tracker will do better to keep track of things that people are more likely to be interested in(Specific Boss Fates, Like Odin/Coeurl/Kirin/Indom/Chi/etc)

    it would be neat content, but it'll be small, and likely not as rewarding.
    (And sadly become about as forgotten as the chain fates are)

    Almost every single area, except Endwalker areas, have an achievement boss FATE. Moreover, there is a logbook for these. It's known as the Achievements interface.

    Every single expansion has 2 additional major boss FATEs, except these are different - they take a few days to respawn, and usually require more people to fight (ie. 24-48 people on release, but it gets easier due to level gain and gear growth). There are usually achievements for these, with certain exceptions such as Prey Online. However, they all have rewards you can spend at the expansion's tomestone city.

    These bosses are Behemoth, Odin, Noctilucale (Proto Ultima just has a cameo sadly), Coeurlregina, Tamamo Gozen, Ixion, Archaeotania, Formidable, Daivadipa and Chi.

    a tracker would be nice though.... fate chains with hours of waiting time between fates... how do they expect people to keep track of that?

    they streamlined and simplified so much stuff people didnt even want to lose, but we are still in the medieval ages for stuff like fate chains.

    and also: i love those little stories some fates tell. the problem? because the npcs appear and interact before the actual fate spawns its very easy to miss... especially if you dont literally stand where the fate will spawn

    I can only think of 1 FATE chain that does this and it's Coeurlregina. Given it's only 1 chain in the entire game, rather than a logbook, they could just nerf Coeurlregina's requirements so that you do the first 2 FATEs in succession and then the third either spawns or doesn't, like how many of the others work.

    The rest of the FATE chains generally only have up to 20 minutes between FATEs. Of course, the exception is when it's the bosses that take a few days to respawn, but usually someone has already done the chain and it will spawn when it's ready and you can visit other worlds for them.

    i mean a fate chain of 13 (i dont mind that many, actually i love it and want more of it) with several 20min breaks isnt really a great design.

    if you dont go google for it you stand there and are like: 'and now? will it continue? it looks like it, but why isnt there a follow up fate? do we have to wait? 10min? 20min? 30min? did we miss it? does it only have like a 50% chance to spawn? there are like 10 other fates around, is it one of them?'
    that uncertainty several times through the chain feels awful.

    and then you are like: 'will i be able to do it alone? what if not? guild? could you help me for that fate chain? no clue how long we have to wait and maybe i dont even need you.'

    Unless it's the off-off peak hours for a region, I never have a problem getting players to show up for those FATEs when I'm helping someone trying to get them done.

    The hunt community is a great resource to turn to. So is Novice Network since there are plenty of new players who'd like to do them, or may not even realize they exist.

    The 20 minutes is "up to" 20 minutes, so it's usually not going to be that long. However, I agree that RNG on them isn't good. I actually don't know of many FATE chains with this sort of RNG (except on the last FATE for the ones that take a few days to spawn). I think the Azim Steppe has it, maybe Churning Mists? It would be great if they removed the RNG from those ones.
