So, we're pre-complaining about a raid we haven't seen based on one sentence of general background description?

I would say we are just speculating on it and sharing information on what it might be, rather than complaining. It's just that in doing so, the answers seem extraordinarily simple and uninteresting unlike the previous ones.
I'm sure the fights will be good. Omega's were, after all.
Thinking the BBEG could be a literal deus ex machina.
Im excited ! It will be refreshing after the last few raids. Plus the aesthetic is awwsome. Hope we get some cool cyberpunk/futuristic gear from it.

Crackpot prediction:
Most of the Arcadion fights will be against the Scions, ala Kingdom Hearts tourneys. They will also be competing and will be easy bosses for the devs to design for a victory lap "fun" expac cycle.
Bonus prediction: the tourney is still combat to the death, so we will finally be free of the same scion cast.

Y'Shtola would beat us in A12.Crackpot prediction:

At this point they should turn it into a running gag and have her come back from death at least twice every expansion, by increasingly ridiculous methods and reasoning.
Enters the Arcadion contest and dies.
Poofs into a burst of aether and gets sucked into the vault.
Oh noes, the notscions are sad.
You get a mail notification.
Go to the postmoogle, it's a letter from Y'shtola.
She already extracted her soul from her body along with a corporeal aether imprint and mailed them to you before the match, she was running on autopilot(which is also the excuse given for why she lost instead of sweeping).
*insert sticking out hand to make a glowing ball appear*
Y'shtola poofs back into existence.
"Well I certainly hope I never have to do that again!"
Obligatory grumbling by Thancred/Urianger/whoever else shows up in the CS.

I hope there's a lot more to it than that. Tournament arcs are filler chapters that I skip. Though, I suppose given speculation over some of the translated text in screenshots it's possible it's going to have an angle of it being a gladiator-type thing where you wager your soul.
