    If they really want to give SCH a transformation, they should make it just be the white and black tomes from FFXI along with a halo, the latter being there because it simply represents enlightenment and isn't necessarily religious. I absolutely love Eorzean_Username's idea and this style of transformation would fit so well with it.

    Love this. Basically Dark Arts/Eukrasia combined with Fae gauge to make the latter actually worth a damn while also giving flexibility on how the gauge should be used. Maybe actually make it feel like a gauge where each nymian boosted spell costs a different amount instead of everything costing 50, making the gauge basically pointless. I think the damage spells should overall cost more to sell the point of pushing more DPS as a healer being risky. This rewards smart play while making the safer options more workable.

    I wish they leaned back into the arcane arithmetic and geometry angle again. It's really sad that we got more lore and cool abilities shown off for Arcanist in Aloalo Island that did not translate to anything cool for SCH. Just more angel nonsense.

    I'm going to go ahead and say you can just remove the healing and shield effect from this kit. No one will use anything that isn't a DPS gain and so those two skills will probably end up being actively discouraged from use by the community. Especially because they will eat resources that can be used for more DPS.

    I mean it’s about providing choice. By your own logic you could remove lustrate, SS, excog and indom from the game given they are DPS losses in a sense

    Make healing universally more valuable than dealing damage and NOBODY will complain again. As long as we have the current system, where you have healers than can still heal without losing DPS, we will still have the same problems.

    Stop pretending this is a player made problem and not a dev made problem.

    While I can't currently think of a way to make their Nymian Codex: Medicine DPS neutral, maybe Nymian Codex: Defense could make it so that it's barrier also does damage to anything that hits it (with Succor's being weaker then Adlo's)?

    With that, there could be some situations where Using Defense (either Adlo's solo or Succor's AoE) might be better then using Nymian Codex: Offense. ( •ᴗ• )و ̑̑

    I agree with most of the criticism on seraphism problems.

    I'd just argue the Fairy is a more than "simply a tool" and is a core part of the SCH aesthetic, and that a decent chunk of players were drawn by that part and/or the "pet management" aspect of the job.
    It doesn't means SCH should become a "fairy mage", just that it can and should be included with others aspects of the job, notably, "Arcanism" and "Tactician/Strategist"

    The fairy, lore-wise, is a tool. Gameplay-wise, i am in favor of a better pet management. Wouldn't hurt if they give pet HP back and Sustain.

    Excog allows for more dps since it can allow people to survive otherwise fatal attacks, but the chief complaint about Energy drain missing from the kit when they took it out was that SCH was sitting on AF stacks without anything to use them on, meaning they were not using lustrate or SS all that regularly either so maybe they could get rid of them. But with them in the kit right now, why would you use these codex on healing abilities when you already have Lustrate and SS at your disposal and there are much higher potency DPS abilities to use that resource on rather than even more healing.
