    keep getting an HTTPS error

i keep getting a https error on the launcher. error code is 2146697211.

No matter what i do, it keeps coming up. I've tried resetting my router, repairing the game through the launcher, got in touch with my ISP since i recently changed and talked to them and they reset my connection just to be on the safe side, reinstalling the game, I've gone into the history on Microsoft Edge since now that IE is gone, the past advice from one of the people that had this same error a few years ago i stumbled on in my quest to fix it doesn't work entirely, as its pretty hit or miss if it kicks that error up, as far as I've seen. I've seen other works arounds that supposedly solved it for others, but i still ended up getting the exact same error.

Any assistance would be wonderful. Thanks in advance

Even worries since this morning, everything has been tried, nothing works .... Worse, reinstall, as us have the advice so often getting things! The Launcher just shows me a blank page. And I am not access to any site A by the forum ...

Same issue, vpn might be a temp fix

I am experiencing the same issue, I tried running a vpn to login from the UK instead of my own location and that enabled me to log in. I have not tested back and forth yet to see if I can re-produce the issue by disconnecting from the vpn. I'll get to that after the daily morning routine is done in game :P

    Greetings NeroRexusOblivion,

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this launcher issue you've experienced has caused. Overall, the issue you are describing is most associated with interference with the game data. It can be a result from certain security/privacy changes on Microsoft Edge. Other times, it occurs when an application running in the background causes interference, such as anti-virus software, firewalls, media players, web browsers, communications software, etc.

I'd like to suggest the following:

    - Please make sure all background applications (including anti-virus programs such as Norton, Kaspersky, Windows Defender, etc.) have been disabled and/or closed to minimize game interference before attempting to log in.
    - Within Microsoft Edge, click the "Settings" option on the top right of the browser (under the three dots shown) and go to "Privacy, Search and Services" and go to the "Tracking Prevention" section. Make sure it is turned on and select the "Balanced" option. Additionally, if any settings have been changed overall, it is best to keep things at default which you can perform manually by using the "Reset Settings" option under the "Settings" tab. Lastly, please ensure that Microsoft Edge is up to date by using the "Settings" > "About Microsoft Edge" option near the bottom left.
    - I'd also like to suggest deleting the current patch files that could be corrupted. You may do this by going into the Final Fantasy XIV local files folder which is generally located under My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn. Once there go to the "downloads" folder then inside should be the "ffxivpatch" folder, proceed to delete all the contents of the ffxivpatch folder and re-try launch the game through the launcher once more.

If the suggestions provided above does not resolve the issue, there may be a communication error and I'd advise replying back to this thread so we can look into it further.

so this got resolved, apparently, some routers also don't enjoy forwarding to the ports the FFXIV uses. so check and make sure its not actually your router. that was my last ditch to fix the issue and it has fixed the issue 100%. I did everything support advised and it still got the error, so check your Router and make sure its security settings doesn't interfere with the game as well. hopefully that helps anyone else with the same issue
