Remove moggle tome events from frontline

It's unfortunate, but the ugly truth is that they already opened Pandora's proverbial box on this one, and I find it highly unlikely that they will ever discontinue Frontlines and Hidden Gorge (literally the only natural way it even queues) from the Mogtome events when it was always a part of it from the 2nd, if not the 1st event.

I will note that early-on I believe they gave away the same amount mogtomes regardless of if you won or lost, and did eventually cave and made it so you received more for winning. Though I personally find 3 tomestones to be way too generous when you only get 5 for winning. It should be like 2 for losing, and maybe even only 1 if you're last place in FL. And no, that wouldn't kill the mode; FL constantly queues during active hours with or without the Mogtome event. It would just dissuade the 0-effort mogtomers from taking-up spots and not even putting an effort.

Instead if you lose a match in frontlines you get no exp, no tomes and no event rewards, no achievement's etc. but if you win then x2.

I'd be fine with removing them. The situation is being compounded by several win-farming, noob-stomping, finger-lickin premades who at least seem to be enjoying themselves.

Think rival wings has this issue too, I've been losing so bad no matter how good I play or how well my callouts are, base getting constantly attacked and my team just feeding.

It's funny, made a post asking for more activity for RW in the form of a roulette, then I get my more activity and it's absolutely miserable. Careful what you wish for people

I wonder if people who have never unlocked FL are getting this as their 20- or 50-tome reward? Based on what I've gotten over the two events, it seems they are being used to encourage people to try content they've never done before. (Like I got Ocean Fishing and Palace of the Dead floor 51.) That would likely compound the problem.

Yesterday, it was the worst day of the tomes event. I’m normally getting either first or second with the occasional 3rd place where it was really bad. I did like 25 matches yesterday with 13 being last place. You can clearly see people who follow the leader and feeding or just fighting the team in second place even with the more veteran players giving callouts trying to direct traffic. Atleast 4 of those losses had my team not even break 700. This is why it needs to be removed or as someone said early, give out far less lines for 3rd. It won’t stop the apathy from the “I’m just here for tomes” but it will definitely remove a lot of them from the player pool since 100 matches for an earring doesn’t sound enticing.

Reason why frontlines is so attractive over dungeons is because you're not losing resources. You're not worrying about gear duration. You're not worrying about killing mobs and bosses and potentially being punished to start over. You can literally turn your brain off, and you'll still earn your reward regardless of how you do. It's always been like this event or not. It is a plus to everyone to go visit whether you hate it or not because of those reasons alone. Good luck finding players that are serious about the mode, because it's very few that exist.

A lot more people care about frontlines than cc, but the devs seem to give a care about that. Why not just throw the tomes into cc?

I don't really think there's any reason for Frontline to be included in these events generally, as there is really no major issue with the popularity of the mode. Queue times are always reasonable with respect to the time of day on populated data centers. Evidently, this event has caused a great deal of harm to the overall player experience in Frontline. This is a huge step in the wrong direction, considering how many serious grievances players already have with Frontline.

Tainting the perception of Frontline right before a new expansion launch also just seems problematic on numerous fronts, and I fear people will think twice about returning to the mode when updates are presented to us because of how badly they've been burned. It's a poor parting gift from Endwalker.

100% this. I actually suggested to the premade commanders that they back off for this event for this very reason. It fell on deaf ears, coupled to myopic eyes.
