    Myths of the Realm Alliance Raid's iLvl Problem

    I have a massive issue with how item levels and stats are scaled with the Myths of the Realm alliance raids series. The players are too strong for the fights.

    When Aglaia first came out, it was a blast. The mechanics are fun and interesting, getting to fight the Twelve was amazing.
    Now, the fight is a cakewalk, and that's bad.

    The devs made all sort of interesting mechanics and fun ways to combine them to make a simple mechanics a lot more complicated, but now you can skip all that complicated stuffs because the bosses will die before they can even display all their moves.

    It also takes away any importance the mechanics might have, because you can be a squishy caster, getting hit by 3 different things in a row and you'll live just fine. My healer friend intentionally collected vulnerability stacks, then stood in my tank buster, and she lived with a regular full bar of health and no mitigation.

    We're fighting GODS, and they feel like a bunch of push-over! Even World of Darkness feels more interesting!

    When I joined the game during post-patches of Shadowbringer, I don't recall The Copied Factory (NieR alliance raid 1) being anywhere this easy at the end of the expansion, the fight still packed punches and you could die quite easily.

    Not just Aglaia is guilty of this, even Euphrosyne, and Thaleia in some cases.

    They need to fix the scaling with this raid in 7.x, otherwise it's going to be in the most boring alliance raid series in term of the actual raid. It's already starting to be that for me.

    They need to fix the ilvl scaling on all the alliance raids really. Most people probably haven't even seen half of crystal tower and void arks mechanics.

    We were still skipping mechanics in Copied Factory at ShB's final IL. It's not a scaling problem; it's a not-syncked-enough problem. Each alliance raid should be capped to its originating patch's max IL, not the expansion's final IL. For that matter, all cap level content should sync no higher than its originating patch's max IL.

    Ilvl scaling is fine, the problem is that all bosses got a tutorial phase that takes up half the time of a fight, the boss is often dead before it does it real attack pattern.

    Solution: Skip the tutorial phase and get straight to the boss mechanics.

    A more complicated solution to the problem means it definitely won't happen.
    Also this would remove the feeling of escalation in any boss fight, also making them worse.
    So double bad.

    Aglaia isn’t scaled remotely well even removing the tutorial phase and the other 2 really aren’t much better

    Azyema’s raidwides used to basically oneshot you with a single vuln stack. The burn you got if you ended up in the wildfire ward was basically a death sentence. Now you can survive her raidwides with no mitigation with like 3 vuln stacks and the DOT from wildfire ward is basically handled by eos alone

    The damage myths puts out is pathetic even if you fail their mechanics because of how bloated our ilvl is

    Forced to agree. Rarely see Nald'Thal's 'clone two random player-targets' trick anymore and pretty much never see his 'split'/Twin Scales mechanic anymore - the fight against him never lasts that long anymore.

    It's just across the game problem. Even something like the level 83 trial, while older, still should make me sweat to keep the rest of the party alive when half of them are down, including co-healer and we are taking the super-stack with just four people and most my heals on cooldown.

    I feel like this hurts healing gameplay the most, when even the biggest scary attacks at a severe disadvantage leave you with the underwhelming feeling of "that's it?". The only time you actually get to properly heal in raids/trials is those one-in-a-hundred clusterfuck parties or on patch day - You honestly don't even have to wait for the next patch before the content becomes outdated. Sometimes it's just a matter of days as people catch up their gear and learn the basic mechanics of a fight.

    Day one of Euphrosyne I knew something was wrong really when I saw that you could kill the last boss without even be close to reach LB3. These bosses cruelly lack of HP. Doing Aglaia today is already as fun as doing lvl 60 content. We're already skipping a ton of mechanics and I can only imagine how bad these fights are gonna age.
