    I can honestly say I’ve never wanted that and would never want that. Bethesda learned that lesson with the criticism of Fallout 4. The voice actors did a fine job, especially with what they had to work with. But when you’re making a character that represents you, nothing takes you out of it quite like having some predetermined voice come out of your mouth. Especially when it doesn’t at all match what you had in your head.

    This was one of the huge things that shot me right out of Baldur's Gate 3 still in the ship starting area. Yes, I know everyone is obsessed with it, but the moment I heard my character make an off comment to a deity that I never thought of for them, completely shut me off "My character" and made me go "This is not my character. This is some random person I spent way too long making pretty but I don't know who they are"

    I would truly hate to have it happen on a game like XIV.
