What is a MMO to you if not an online game that is a social hub?
Different games have different styles. The style of this game is to focus everything around the story. I agree that it would be nice if they had an alternate route to leveling (other than buying the jump potions) for those that aren't into story but they feel this is what is best for their game.This an online game man. They got to have flexibility. It is ok of they focus on story, But forcing It on me just makes it a boring chore. I will always consider it a major negative aspect of this game. Guild wars 2 doesn't force you to do the story, and l was able to do stuff in that game without doing any story for a year. That is one of the factor That kept me playing gw2.

I imagine we all have things we hate about this game not to mention other games we also play. It's all about finding the game that gives you the most enjoyable time.
If FFXIV is still the one despite the flaws you see, I hope you continue to enjoy it for a long time.
I still see the bees in Qarn killing players in unwary groups as much as Doom does.
Using hunter traps strategically in WoW (before the trap launcher was added) was fun times. Crowd control in PvE was an interesting part of game play that I personally miss, but it's sadly something most players hated because they want to speed run through content and the need for crowd control was an obstacle to that.
I wonder what MMORPGs would be like today if more players were interested in truly experiencing games and thinking their way through them instead of rushing through to collect from the loot box at the end.

The more logical way to handle this situation would be to make it challenging enough such that chain pulling is not possible because you will die. Then it'd be up to the group's skill for how many groups you can pull at once.

To be honest, I haven't ended up in there since they went and reworked a ton of older dungeons so I just assumed those bees got axed during that process. Good to know they're still around aside from the small group out in the world for Blue Mages to learn from.
The days of Amdapor Keep and Wanderer's Palace speed runs when a tank could pull the packs to the boss and would stay on the edge of the boss zone as someone started the fight and then the mobs got locked out and reset.
the 2.0-6.0 msq is pretty good. i would recommend doing it anyway. dt story will be trash like that filler void ark.My problem with the current FF 14 is that you are FORCE to do the MSQ to level there is nothing else to do til you unlock your first dungeon through hours of reading..
Now with Dungeons, They suck.... Yes they are pretty to look at but once you get done doing it once theres no need to go back. and its the same cycle, 2 packs, Wall, 2 packs, Boss Etc.... Can we change it up a bit??? Why arent we allow pull more than 2 packs of mobs?? I like to pull as many as I WANT, not what the game tells me.. Theres so much hand holding in this game now. its crazy

they wont adress it till players up and leave tbh when ever that will be. rn they know just the right carrot on the stick to dangle over peoples heads so they dont run a mile.Now with Dungeons, They suck.... It wasn't possible a lot of the time and the party did die and the tanks would just keep trying to do it anyway. The walls are necessary to keep a lot of tanks from trying to pull more than they have any business pulling.
