Looking for an active linkshell

When I started playing FFXIV I had the intention to start my own linkshell. I was trying to bring over some friend from World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XI to start a linkshell, but the release state of the game made everyone run away without ever looking back and I can't blame them. Since I am loyal to the game and actually like the game I decided to stay and look for a good linkshell that fits my needs. Currenty I am in a Dutch linkshell with some friends. More of a social linkshell which I will keep no matter what to talk to my friends.

So, besides my social linkshell, I am looking for a friendly, mature, active linkshell with endgame intentions on the Rabanastre server.

I am currently not even close to hitting level 50, but I started playing a lot again just before the servers went down because of what happened in Japan. I am an experienced MMORPG player and played World of Warcraft, Everquest II and Final Fantasy XI before I started playing Final Fantasy XIV. I have still active World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XI accounts.

History
World of Warcraft: Evenstar (level 85 Night Elf Death Knight) on the EU-Hellfire en EU-Khadgar server, leader of Phantas Magoria (one of the better guilds on the server. I played on Khadgar first and we transferred as a guild to Hellfire later.

Final Fantasy XI: Evenstar (level 75 Paladin) on the Ragnarok server. Was member of The Calm, an endgame linkshell. I never played my Paladin after the level cap was raised. I am currently just hanging around on low level characters from time to time to fool around.

I consider myself a hardcore player, but simply do not have the time to be as hardcore as I was during my World of Warcraft and FFXI time. I remember setting my alarm at 4:00am to go camp Nidhogg or King Behemoth .... I still have a hardcore attitude, just not the time anymore.

I like to play MMORPG's and I like to compete to be one of the better players on the server. It is what I enjoy the most. Knowing my class, playing it well and achieving some endgame goals.

As I said I am looking for an active linkshell with friendly/mature people in it. I know there is not much endgame right now. Besides that I am not even level 50 as I said above (currently close to level 20 Gladiator and Armorer). As you can see above I love to play tanking classes and this game is no difference. In every game I played I ended up being the main tank (control freak I guess).

It will help me a lot if I am in a linkshell that actually has some endgame goals, when the endgame arrives that is, so I actually have a goal/reason to work towards.

I am living in the Netherlands (GMT+1) and play almost every day during the evening. Especially between 19:00 and 01:00. I am loyal to my linkshell, will help out with whatever if I can. I also have leading experience if that would be needed.

Whoa I remember you. This is Sharkie from The Calm. A lot of the TC members came back at release and we were all in one shell, but sadly 95% of the people are gone now. I'm kind of in the same position as you but I decided to start a shell myself recently that will have some endgame but not immediately. The shell is not active atm but you can be part of the growth. Sharkie! I remember you too. I was hoping that someone from Ragnarok would find this thread since I know there are/were lots of people from Ragnarok here.

I tried to get into that linkshell after the release, but it was already pretty full and some spots were reserved, so didn't get in at that time. I remember talking to Twitzga and some others I would love to be a part of the linkshell and the growth that will follow. I will try to drop you a tell tomorrow in game!
