I honestly get this point. MMOs in general seem to be on their way out, there aren't many good ones and if I have to pick between FFXIV (which I like, just not nearly as much as I used to), WoW (which I never enjoyed much and also is an ActiBlizz game, so I refuse to support it) and Runescape (the appeal of which I will NEVER understand) then yeah, FFXIV any day.

A lot of MMOs are either obscure with a ton of issues or old and on life support. I miss RIFT in its heyday. It had a lot of great ideas for dynamic zone events and build variety. I miss Wildstar. It wasn't perfect, but I had a ton of fun playing it.
