I respectfully disagree, and I don't think there's a need to insult people.

I mean, is he wrong though? I mean these same people be insulting US for not wanting to make the game brain dead, or job gameplay back and etc. Wanna know what else is "Insulting"? My intelligence with this game, due to the simplicity of everything and being dumbed down in general. They're holding EVERYONE's hand and making sure nobody fails, and now you're just throwing bodies at this point until the boss is dead. Another thing that's "insulting" People telling other players to quit due to their favorite jobs being homogenized, or something rightfully taken away without replacing anything for it as a place holder. Yeah bro, just UNSUB despite going to the Official Forums to give out your disappointment to the game on how they treated your job classes, so that your voice can be heard.

At least it required pay me to pay attention and have some knowledge, which made the dungeon/encounter more interesting for me. My first healer was a SCH in HW and I couldn't sleep my way through healing, I had to pay attention on how stance was used, which made DPSing and healing more interesting. I also liked that it encouraged some interaction with the co-healer. I don't think that it's a bad thing, that's already something that exists /existed to an extent with tanks. It is supposed to be an MMO after all.

That funny, because I had a sch friend who'd just put me on follow and afk the dungeon and eos did just fine healing. Sch faries were op back then.

I honestly can't say I've ever seen tanks do that in this game, and I've been playing since the end of ARR.
I only ever saw that in WoW. Sheep this, trap that, then kill order. I'm not even sure if they still do that though, I quit ages ago.

the only time i could think if it is a couple of extreme trails like old king mog extreme back then if you didn't kill the moggles right away it would drag the fight out to enrage. or Titan Ex to mark the two adds that show up, but that was when cap was leved 50. we don't have that kind of threat anymore XD

And fourth, if it's as Caffe Macchiato says, then they feel like there's no other space that gives this experience, even though other MMOs still make more money and have higher player counts (WoW and Runescape).

I honestly get this point. MMOs in general seem to be on their way out, there aren't many good ones and if I have to pick between FFXIV (which I like, just not nearly as much as I used to), WoW (which I never enjoyed much and also is an ActiBlizz game, so I refuse to support it) and Runescape (the appeal of which I will NEVER understand) then yeah, FFXIV any day.

A lot of MMOs are either obscure with a ton of issues or old and on life support. I miss RIFT in its heyday. It had a lot of great ideas for dynamic zone events and build variety. I miss Wildstar. It wasn't perfect, but I had a ton of fun playing it.

That's it's own problem, and I wish they'd actually revert that. Tanks should have defensive capabilities, not insane healing ones.

First, I'm not your "bro", that's insulting to me, please don't call me that. And second, suggesting to someone that has only displayed anger, frustration, and bitterness towards every part of the game that they might want to find something else to do is NOT an insult in anywhere but this game. It's a normal thing to do.

The only people I've ever suggested take a break/unsub are the few people that post 100% nastiness like Cafe, and people like OP, who literally said "the combat system is BEYOND SAVING".
