And yes, obviously people accounted for the AF multiplier and Enochian. In fact, if you had raid buffs, it looks even worse because Picto has insane burst- you can essencially "precast" some of your spells in the filler rotation to unload in burst, and you have very potent ogcds to slam in burst too. 2300 potency in a gcd under burst shouldn't be a thing for any job, imho.

I am very well aware that the Balance is capable of doing this, I was simply not aware of the job guide updates.

Flare and high fire is weaker. I dont now, if the fire buff include flare now or not (the first skill excluded it first, and i dont know, if flare count as fire spell).
And, flarestar is stronger as the preview mentioned (weaker as i hoped). But, the 65% dmg lose in aoe looks to hurt hard (ok, as a fire spell comes some boost).

High Thunder 2 is a lot stronger than thunder 4. It is 420 potency without damage reduction. Manafont allow you to use flare -> flare -> flarestar -> flare -> flare -> flarestar. And with extra polygot stack you can use 4x foul if you want to. I bet most of mobs are dead before you have to enter ice phase.

Could you add some high fire to that?
Mp to spare should whe have and would be a few points more (but take a little longer).

I had the old rotation in mind: 2xhigh fire, 2x flare, 1x Flare star (and if you have Mama Front, a second time).
What i dont like much is, that you can not truly start a aoe fire start now, with flare Star at the end.

And:
Flare star is only with lvl 100.
The critic should be correct, for the way until 100.

Yeah... from the looks of it Transpose -> Flare Flare -> Flare Star-> Foul/HT2 -> Transpose -> Freeze -> HT2/Foul -> Transpose -> repeat seems unironically worth it. Potentially you use (High) Fire II for swapping for AF3, but otherwise...

...man, we have been at this exact point with Shadowbringers where Fire 2 + Blizzard 2 were absolute garbage. Then we had Endwalker's "Enhanced Flare" and increase in potencies for the AOE skills and it actually was usable. Now we are back to spamming Flares again. Am I missing something or am I really gonna go back to basically nearly never using either spell again?

They should have just cut one high fire out of the rotation and given that to flare star

So instead of freeze->high fire->high fire->high fire->flare->flare->flare star

Just make it so that in order for flare to not consume all your MP you need to have 2 or more umbral hearts so your rotation becomes

Freeze->high fire->high fire->flare->flare->flare star

This change has basically made high fire and high blizzard useless buttons
