I don't know about you guys but with the Gap close of DRK, GNB and fucking DRG damage removal they sram from my hotbar I was only pressing them because they were doing DMG I can walk or sprint don't need a non damage skill the fact that WAR and PLD keep theirs is just like why but hey maybe the next DRG skill for LV110 next dlc will be Dragons Walk where you walk on the ground toward your target

You have the answer to your question.

They were used a DMG abilities rather than mobility when they were first designed as mobility.
PLD and WAR gets to keep their damages because they already have little to weave os oGCDs. DRK, GNB and Dragoon have much more oGCDs.

In High-end content it was difficult to complete a burst while weaving mitigation (and sometimes doing a double tank swap) compared to GNB&DRK.

Did they remove the damage from RDM's gap closer too? I'm in melee range 95% of the time so I only use it for extra damage. I already replaced the backflip with Engagement years ago, lol.

I wonder at the point of gap closers when hit boxes are so enormous anyway.
