Male characters need a bit more love

This is kind of a niche request and nobody can say for sure what the plans for dt+ are... but man male characters really get the short end.

Glamour - woman get revealing skimpy glamour all the time... constantly.. mini shorts and thigh highs.. not men.. i think the edenmorn and level 90 whm relic gear capture this perfectly.. where the woman have an off the shoulder dress and men have like this.. bin bag full sleeve.

Or some shortshorts are just straight up turned into pants for men. Why? Why not make them the same for both sexes.
I'm actually really happy the midriff is still exposed on male picto but I think in the past many great opportunitys were missed. Still fuming that about the level 80 dancer gear being complelty different on men...

Going forward 1 think i really want to see.. is more open chest glamour, the old hellfire fending suit for example is VERY popular because it doesn't hold back. I already really love the lone wolf top because again - exposed chest.

I understand this game has a time period its set in (16th century) and that men running around half naked inst "realistic" but WHOOOO cares. It's a fantasy game. Just let me show of my pecs. (And finally add a chisel for every race not just soyboy hyur)

While we're ln this topic of male neglect. Can I mention my hatred for the lack of long hair men get... yea there's some.. but it's literally scraps. It never gets picked in contests, it never gets made in race hairs. There's this 1 fluffy ponytail viera get I'd kill for on my male aura.. or even lyses mog store hair. But for now I'm stuck with rainmaker which deletes half my face :/

So in summary- more exposed chests.. more dresses. More panties and shortshorts and more long hair. Just let me live out my dream of being an extremely feminine man in very feminine clothing i thought that kinda thing was already popular in japan anyway T_T

All that aside, women and men have a larger audience of people that will play female characters so that's why, in 99% of games, female characters are catered to more. I'd love to see more cosmetics released for men as a whole but I understand the mentality of why it's put on the backburner compared to pushing out female cosmetics.

If you're asking for more progressive outfits, they've been slowly converting dresses and such to male based bodies over the last couple of years. I am curious though if they'd start to make more progressive clothing as a whole or if it would just cause a riot if there weren't additional options for male characters to wear (i.e. an option for shortshorts and an option for normal shorts).

Because it looks bad. There is already alot of girls clothes you can wear now so no need for more.

I bet alot of the males want more masculine looking stuff not less. Like robes being shirt/pants etc.They have been asking for awhile for better short hairs and facial features. Imo they need to cater to those men not the other.

I'd prefer more pants that don't turn into shorts, skirts, or shorts/skirts with stockings when worn by female characters, personally.

Or if they're gonna make separate looks, just make them separate pieces of gear entirely and make them gender neutral.

I think overall male characters on both ends of the spectrum are a bit underrepresented

I play a male character who is gay. So I don’t mind showing a lot of skin, but my character is also distinctly masculine and confident in their masculinity so is happy to both wear speedos or more masculine looking attire like say the VPR artifact gear

I think the problem comes from this games over reliance on robes. Just by nature robes tend to favour female characters over male characters as they are generally shaped better on female characters. There also seems to be a trend towards when there is gendered sets the female set is distinctly female while the male set is more gender neutral (for example the last few summer event sets)

I think they just need less reliance on robes and more sets that suit both ends of the “how much skin do you want to show” for the exclusive male playerbase

What OP is asking for I think is mostly solved by just offering current gender based gear as 2 sets both genders can wear

I just wanted to say I agree with you and it's unfair we lost shorts in the last 2 DNC artifact gears. Also, we have millions of shorts that turn into long pants for men and it's getting a bit tiring.

For players who dislike feminine clothing, we will always have full plate armor and like so many long-sleeved shirts and pants in the meantime.
