Thread: Upcoming PvP changes mostly in 7.1

I'm curious if we will go a major patch without a series pass since series 5 only last till DT release.

I really feel like they need to make PvP matches in general reward additional series EXP based on the match runtime or something because it's cultivated an attitude where some people will just throw as soon as a match starts going south because it's faster to just lose then to drag things for several more minutes and potentially still lose and get the same amount of EXP anyways.

I'm not expecting any job skills to be added outside of the ones going to Viper and Picto. It would undo a lot of the balancing they've done in Endwalker, (Whether you agree with it, or not.) I don't have many problems with how it is at the moment. My guess is both new jobs launch undertuned. Heres to hoping if that is the case they aren't given the Bard treatment.

I would also be curious as to what, if any changes are coming to the reward system, especially how they handle crystals coming into 7.1 - It's time to bring back the FoMo rewards.

The way they brushed over changes coming to frontlines/CC would suggest they've probably not even begun working on it. In that scenario, even a 7.1 major update to PvP may be optimistic.

I'm going to guess from past records, potency buffs/nerfs. Cooldowns going up and down and WHM miracle still being broken and dragoon LB being the most broken damage in the game besides NIN LB

I don't play DK but I find it is interesting that they thinks they know better than Devs who has access to all data
When people contribute their "idea" in below thread, do they even realize Salted Earth was never an issue until DRG has access to their new signature LB Sky Shatter ?

Salted Earth was only a nuisance at old Secure
There are so many ways to remove the synergy between Salted Earth and Sky Shatter without making a job unplayable.
What if Sky Shatter got changed into a single target burst?
Wouldn't that be easier?

I don't know why we're having a DRK arguement here, or why a DRK thread is being linked here. It sounds like you should be posting in that thread.

If changes to Salted Earth are inevitable, the Dark Knights can cry me a damn river. It's absolute BS that Salted Earths draw in isn't negated by purify. For a company that allegedly has all this "Data" they sure proved that they were incapable of acting on it, or understanding what was going on in any mode other than Crystaline Conflict.
