    The dev team is never going to increase healing requirements. No matter what they "say" it has been nothing but either a flat out lie, a dodge in topic, or a misunderstanding bordering incompetence.

    Besides. Screw damage hitting harder. Hitting harder doesn't mean a godsdamned thing when it only comes up every 60+ seconds. We need things to hit hard AND more often.

    I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

    Astral Draw:
    The Balance - 6% on melee/tank, 3% on ranged/healer
    The Arrow - 10% healing action output increase
    The Spire - 400 potency barrier (lol. lmao)

    The Spear - 3% on melee/tank, 6% on ranged/healer
    The Bole - 10% mit
    The Ewer - 200p 15s HoT

    Unbelievable. I was hoping it wasn't true but MAN these are the dullest effects they could have picked.
    And what new abilities do we get? I'm so glad you asked!

    A 600p followup to divination, and 10% mit addition to neutral sect. That's... that's it. A couple potency increases, new vfx for asp. helios, and a 3rd ED charge. That's it. Enjoy the next 3 years of astrologian. I'm just in awe at how much square enix doesn't want people to actually think while playing this game. We get refluffed versions of skills we already had as cards, some flashy vfx, a 10% mit and a 2min CD single use dps spell. Please look forward to it.

    At this point I think I'll just stick with pvp because even with their three skills pvp healers are the most fun I've ever had when it comes to healing in this game. :|

    I know pvp and pve are fundamentally different game modes but it is astounding that their respective healer counterparts are so far apart when it comes to fun, challenge, and rewarding game play...

    - MP regen is only on Draw, now on a 60s instead of 30, but value is the same ? And since we don't have Astrodyne anymore that means few mp recovery

    - 2mn still looks busy since the new div followup is ogcd, not sure we'll be able to ditch lightspeed

    - Lightspeed still on 90s recast whereas new whm movement tool is 60s, and Icarus is 45s

    - 6 new cards, 4 of which are single target heal / mitigation (and weak ones). With tanks upgraded CDs, and since ST healing is already not a concern, this looks super useles compared to needing 2 buttons for them

    - New mit capstone being locked behind Neutral Sect ? Looks like you either need NS but won't need the mit, or don't need to GCD heal but will need 2 buttons to get 10% mit


    Waiting 1 year for a "rework" and looking at that, this build really doesn't look good, if there aren't changes for the release I don't think I'm gonna go back to AST.
    I don't even understand the point of these changes tbh
    If they don't at least shakeup the encounter design, I'll probably just stop playing altogether after the 1st savage tier

    In the burst window now you only need to press

    1 spear
    1 astral draw
    1 balance
    1 lord
    1 divination
    1 star
    1 divination follow up

    Since Divination is now 20 seconds you will likely play spear, then astral draw, then divination, then balance with star already pre prepped, sub follow up and lord can be pressed whenever

    Seems like lightspeed isn’t needed but potentially still a slight gain to put more of spear inside divination but only if you don’t need it elsewhere

    As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

    I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

    don't even have to manually reactivate star with a 10s prepull. Give how most fights probably still open with a raidwide, you can just do it prepull if needed.

    So playx2, divi, oracle, lord, draw. 6 weaves? Yea, we can ditch lightspeed. That's less weaves than scholar does lmao.

    I knew it would still be around 6%. Called it. Also Spire being only a 400 shield potency might as well not even exist, health pools are gonna be in the 100ks one auto and that thing is more than gone.

    I wonder why they didn't make the card buff last 20s like every other buff?
    The range card will always fall a bit short since it'll be 1 gcd before the raid buff and last 5s less than regular burst window. Most burst are done in less than 15s but still.
