    Positionals vs Damage over Time

    If one of which has to be removed, what would it be?

    My Pick for Removal will be: Positionals.
    Reason: True North already nullifies Positionals and it lines up with most important Melee Skills like Trick Attack, Meikyo Shisui, Perfect Balance.. ect. most huge Melee Skills aren't positionals anyway. If they remove Positionals they also could remove True North. There still will be AoEs to dodge! So Cleaves, Cone, Line AoEs shall remain! But you can just focus on your rotation and (if we're incredibly lucky) they could amp up other aspects of Job Design (looking at the DT Job Action Trailer) *HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA* Job Identity is what all Jobs are lacking according to that Job Action Showcase. And No, I do not hate Positionals.. but when they removed Twin Snake's and True Strike's Positionals I thought to myself: WHAT'S THE POINT!? Monk (in my opinion) should be that Positional Mastery Monster! by removing Positionals off Monk they undermine the whole concept of Positionals and Oh True North does the Rest.

    They're not stopping until every job plays like one of those MSQ quests you play as an NPC with 4 abilities, one of the abilities being a full hp heal. (Healers 'B Gone Rank 1)

    neither because I never play mellee and with the hitbox boss have it isn't to hard to do positional anyways

    Don't think you need to Full removal of Positionals, but limiting their number would be greatly appreciated. I don't think positionals for "finishers" are bad, but remove them on openers and mid combo button presses. Also... remove True North. If you are going to have positionals, have positionals, Do not give a free pass out of them. You already do so on a number of bosses with a circular hit box, may as well either remove them or force us to use them correctly. Especially with the big hitters having a cd that lines up with TN, it means we dont have to pay attention have the time anyway...

    As for DoTs, keep em. Do a better job designing them. We lost our spinning plates job with the SB SMN rework. We could see a new one rise again in 8.0, but I don't think we are getting a new DPS job in the next expac (copium I know).

    I don't understand the premise of this question; in what situation would game designers look at these two specific features and decide one of them has to go?

    The Premise of the Question was: If one those 2 things would be removed, what would you choose^^

    I recently saw Viper and that they have Flank and Rear at the start of their Skillnames (on those which are Postionals) and I'm like: "..Cool!" *True North*

    I guess positionals. Because not only do I enjoy DoTs, I wanted an entire job (Green Mage) to be built around DoTs and comboing them together.

    Obviously rather neither be removed. Oh, Shadow Fang...
