Imo the cherry on top is the wings are completely static. You'd expect them to at least flap majestically or "fly" as you cast spells while in that form, but they couldn't bother to do even that. Even the accessory angel wings open up when you jump/fall.

I have a better idea. It should be dumped and make another one that doesn't alter our appearance in any shape and form and be rooted to what the Scholar, truly is, a war tactician.

They could have upgraded Adloquium's and Succor's animation just like their reasoning with WAR. The fey is just there to fill the gap of our healing. And it should stay like that. The Scholar focuses on either debilitating/disrupting spells or spells that will mitigate damage, as much as possible.

It'd make way WAY more sense if it:

A: was a rework of Dissipation, where we fuse with the fairy for a time to amp our healing potency (at the cost of the fairy being able to Embrace). Fairy skills would still be useable (Eg W.Dawn), but they'd originate from our player
B: gave us butterfly/fairy looking wings, instead of feathery angelic wings. That's WHM's world, why are we making SCH look like that?
C: didn't give us the stupid white robe. We already have to wear the officially certified Trashbag(tm) White Robes of a healer because that's what every tier seems to give us as gear, but now even if we Glam away from that, we're forced to wear one regardless? Awful, it's like they didn't hear the feedback people had about RPR overriding your Glamour during Enshroud. At least that one fits the aesthetic of the class, this one goes completely away from what SCH is meant to be, a military tactician

At the very least, please give us a text command to turn the 'transformation' off, so those of us who don't want to see it don't have to

I can only see their response (if it ever is addressed ) : "Making it optional would defeat the purpose : SCH main wanted more challenging content. So now you can't recognize your character anymore."

If they want to do anything that might look pretty while on effect, honestly they could’ve just ripped off the fae glyph from one of the HW relic weapon VFX: Hyperconductive Tetrabiblos. Slap a pair of that glyph on the back of our character & give it maybe few green trailing sparkles. There, it’s done. No need to give us white nun robe lol.

Best part? You could probably turn it off by limiting VFX visibility in our today’s setting.

I would have much preferred something like floating chain screens or even floating maps surrounding the SCH

Last expansion was a butterfly motif but tactic themed skill, this expansion should be a tactic motif healing skill

At least the glam seems to be universally hated across here, reddit and the JP forums and it’s an easy change so there is some small hope
