Please give Scholar Bane back now that Sage has their own AoE DoT

The new Chain Stratagem follow-up is cool, but getting one additional damage button every 2 minutes is very disappointing.

Sage is able to apply an AoE DoT whenever they want now with Eukrasian Dyskrasia.

Please give Scholar back Bane so that they can spread their Biolysis DoT, or make the new Chain Stratagem follow-up instead be its own separate skill with a shorter cooldown.

Having one new damage button to press every 2-minutes is not interesting.

EDIT: Alternatively, give SCH Miasma II again. It's the same idea as Eukrasian Dyskrasia.

They could literally just have Energy Drain learn at 6 again instead of 45, then have 45 be a trait that upgrades it to Bane, dealing 100p, 50% damage falloff in AOE, spreads DOTs from primary target to all secondary targets. Doesn't need another hotbar button, limits it's use via Aetherflow (it had an Aetherflow cost at some point so there's precedent, but I don't remember when), everyone wins

Also bring back Miasma (24s) and HW Shadowflare (make it 15s)

The wings on Seraphism look so gaudy and... private server-y? They really just don't look like they belong, if that makes sense

I mean, ShB turned her into an angel already (temporary), I guess it was only a matter of time that we get replaced by angels, too. I tended to gear a healer so far, maybe not to main it, but I took it into the 8 and 24 mans, once in a while. Or to help out rookies.

I wanted to play a SCHOLAR, not a White Mage, not a Sage. I like the cute fairy, and the bookworm nerd vibe that it gives off. I guess to retain Battle Mentor qualification, I am going to burn through to max level as SMN, do both sets of role quests, then yeet the books into the void.

I absolutely refuse to go for another healer job to deck out.

It would have been fine if WHM and SCH weren't the only classes to seemingly exclusively get an AOE skill attached at the end of a CD buff cycle, but Sage appears to have gotten a move in a similar vein as Miasma 2 that they can spam ad nauseum. That doesn't sit well with me. Sage already has an edge in the DPS front and this seems like it is only going to exacerbate the issue. I don't like to play the favoritism blame game, but sometimes I too can't help, but feel like Sage has become the developers favorite child and they just keep taking things away from Scholar and giving new skills that should have been Scholars, to Sage.

SGE only has a DPS edge in less than 8 man content so that part is fine but honestly it’s likely eukarsian dyskrasia won’t be a gain on 1 so the new DOT is basically a dungeon trait

I would bet money on it being like 300 potency per target, a large gain over dyskrasia but a loss compared to dosis

Yeah that's fair. I'm pretty much entirely a casual player now, so it would be an effect that I would run into often, but still a fair point to make.
