Tanks and healers looked underwhelming as usual.
Black Mage and Monk had the most interesting upgrades but I'm also curious how Ninja has been reworked. Most other jobs looked like they didn't change too much unfortunately. I was expecting more Job Gauges updates.
Summoner... lol. How are they not embarrassed of showing it off.
Pictomancer looked really fun. Viper was very confusing, just a flurry of flashy attacks.
Overall, meh. But at this point it'd be my fault if I expected jobs to get a lot more interesting, especially tanks and healers.
After seeing Viper kit, who the hell wants to play Ninja anymore? NIN was supposed to be the "fastest dps job" now looks like a RDM disguised as a Shinobi.Tanks and healers looked underwhelming as usual.

Im worried that once again Healers will keep the 1-2 skill combo due Tanks having more sustain than now.
I'll gladly take class identification over some spazzy adhd class that doesn't really do anything in particular.
looks like all classes will get big hit nukes at the end of burst phases.
this may mean that bursts will become even more pronounced and important for a class' overall damage. Solid meh.
RIP Viper 28/06/2024 - 30/07/2024. It was a fun month.
Well I was hoping they would finish making the summoner job but was already bracing myself for just getting 1 extra summon per expansion but even I could not predict that it would just be Bahamut 2.
Like that's a cool model visually but really? Of all the summons of the FF universe you could have come up to give us at a 100 capstone it's Bahamut again... that is like wild that this went through.
as a massive Bahamut fan since I was a kid, I'm okay with that. But they really need to do more, the rest of the job is just so threadbare mechnically. It's visually dope but a snoozefest to play.Well I was hoping they would finish making the summoner job but was already bracing myself for just getting 1 extra summon per expansion but even I could not predict that it would just be Bahamut 2.

Just to point out, once new Bahamut goes, the gauge turns into the normal Bahamut gauge, so it isn't a direct replacement.Well I was hoping they would finish making the summoner job but was already bracing myself for just getting 1 extra summon per expansion but even I could not predict that it would just be Bahamut 2.

I never said it was a replacement I said it was Bahamut again. Like even gameplay aside even on paper if you were pitching me on the 100 level capstone skill being a cooler looking Bahamut I'd be still why? We already have Bahamut. Like what's next for 8.0? I cooler looking Phoenix? Feels pretty fair to kinda feel that's a pretty weird and uninspired direction.
I'm not even gonna go into just the general vibe about how EW summoner felt like they delivered 60% of a job concept and what this slow trickle is gonna mean for the job in the next 3 expansions.

I do think having something like Alexander would have made it feel more unique.
