Blacklist: How do I know if I'm blacklisted by someone else?

You can teleport to someone's locked estate. You just can't enter it. I have a friend who keeps hers locked and I can port there and go hang out in her yard until she's there.

How do I know if I am being blacklisted by someone else when I send a message?

Will I get a system message in response stating something like: 'unable to send message'? Or something to that effect?

I tried searching this through google or reddit, but kept getting the same generic 'how to blacklist people' and couldn't find an answer to this question. I am well aware that a person no longer sees messages from people who is blacklisted, but how does the blacklisted person know their message won't be read?

send them a friend request, send them mail. try to trade them. all these ways can confirm if you've been blacklisted

Maybe you should try it. Ask a friend, who can blacklist you. Then send him messages, trade items with him etc. And see what happens.

check their plates, if its restricted for you, but not say, an alt, your BL'd.

Like the other suggestions above, can also check to see if your allowed to leave housebook messages. If not, no go.

There are... ways around being BL'd, but I'll leave that to your research and imagination.

I've only come across it when failing to join a PF.
Checking an adventurers plate is usually an easy way to confirm it after you suspect it.

There was this one sprout in NN who blacklisted a bunch of mentors and then proceeded to continue to ask for help for things and was given the answers but couldn't see them.
That was an entertaining couple of weeks.

I'm surprised that blacklisting is as common as it is judging from the comments on this thread. Wow--I had no idea this happened so much!

Well, the Yokai Watch event has gotten a lot of people hating on each other (especially towards Blue Mages), and blacklisting some people is almost inevitable if you play enough PVP, lol.

To be honest, why does it matter?

If someone ignores you, just leave them alone. Blacklist or not, the message is clear.
