So, the one big thing that bums me out about housing in XIV is the lack of ability to use your glamour dresser. Being able to hang out at your house and craft, go to the market board, ect, makes hanging out with your friends/FC in the home ideal, but having to teleport back to Limsa or a town to go to an inn room to change your glamour up is clunky, and also takes away from the vibe that its your HOME.

From what I understand the limitation is due to the fact that if a glamour dresser was moved or deleted while in use it would crash the server, plus some spaghetti code issues where the dresser has to load every present players glams or something to that effect. Regardless I get that the back end of FFXIV is probably a lot more complicated than I give them credit for, but I'm curious why they couldn't work around that limitation by essentially giving you the ability to enter an inn room instance from your home, similar to how you enter private player rooms or the workshop.

Unlike player rooms, just make the "Walk-In-Closet" instance a private instance just for the player who enters, exactly how the inns in town work. No ability to move the dresser/armoire or decorate inside. No ability for other users to be in the same instance at once. Just functionally identical to how inn rooms work. I wouldn't be surprised if this didn't also have issues with it, such as what happens if a house is destroyed while someone is inside, but I'd hope restricting it like this would at least make it more workable than the ideal situation of just having a placeable dresser and armoire. Ideally I feel like you'd just be spat back outside the ward if you tried to leave the instance into a house that no longer exists - but I wouldn't be too surprised if theres not some wierd noodly code thing that would make this difficult.

If we CAN'T have dressers in homes, its a bummer, but not the end of the world... but I'd like to hope that SOME kind of workaround exists out there. Its not the most major necessary change for the game, and I appreciate the crazy effort the team gives as it is, but its somethin on my wishlist, for sure.
