    SE doesn't offer a high-availability version of FFXIV, and IMO given the cost of providing it (duplicate hardware, extra staffing, etc.) few people would want to pay for it.
    I've see that posted several time, but I'm not sure (emphasys on not sure) it apply to this situation. Terminology is really important and specific with anything legally binding, and in this case, I'm not sure DDoS can be considered as suspension of service. Service is live, but you cannot connect for other reasons. That's no suspension in my book. If you look at site like this one, it seem pretty clear the service has to be offline to qualified as a suspension. I'm no legal pro, but I'm not sure the part of term you use means what you think it means.

    There might be no reasons for SE to compensate anything, since they're not responsible either, but after 6 DDos attack in 8 days, it might be a good thing to do some kind of gesture.
