Please reform the achievement system

I'm 99% sure that most achievements are there just for their own record-keeping.

Considering that the mentor system requires you to get specific achievements, and like you mentioned weapon replicas, among other things I think the achievement system is indeed simply the public side of your tracked character stats that SE has on everyone. Slap some points and rewards on a few and suddenly that excel table looks a lot more appealing to the average gamer.

I think that having a list of titles on display runs the risk of having an Adventurer Plate come across as a CV, but they can always give you the option to do whatever you want in the space provided.

My idea was to have armour that you could collect piece by piece based on your achievment score. achievement points and that the final piece would cost say.. 25k points or something. So basically

500 points - guilded earing
1000 points. Guilded boots
5000 points guilded gloves
10000 points guilded crown
15000 points guilded pants
25000 points guilded chest plate
40000 points - guilded mount


Idk if it goes up to 40k rn but that already is a system that could reward people for continued farming

I've suggested this before, but what if we can share our achievement score on our adventure plates? Optional of course. There is no way to see anyone's score in the game itself. People would have to search on the lodestone or other websites to find that score. It certainly wouldn't tell us what we have been working at in particular, but it's nice to have a place somewhere in the game to share it. I think the adventure plate is the perfect location without being intrusive to anyone else's gameplay.

There's a text command for it that you can make into a macro if you want. Just do /title set [insert title here] and it will switch to that if it's one you have. Or you can just do /title for a random one if you're feeling adventurous.

The random macro title is actually why I'd love a favourite titles feature. I used to have /title macroed to all of my gearsets so it'd change each time I switched job/class but I rarely saw the titles I like most because I have so many. It'd be great if I could assign favourites and then put "/title favourite" in my gearset macros to get a random one from my favourites (like you can do with mount/minion roulette).

I mean it's a bit too little too late huh? Getting through Aurum Vale without eating fruit is a cakewalk because you could just run it unsynced. Same with being able to instakill the Myrmidon Princess by looking at her. Unsynced dungeons, trials, and raids still give you the achievement for beating them at present.

On the subject of achievements, I really wish they’d do something where trophies on the PS5 would pop if you already have the correlating achievement. It’s seriously annoying that if you did something like obtain the Necromancer title on PS4 or PC, you have to do it all over again on PS5 for it to unlock. Is a simple in game achievement check too hard to implement? On top of that, if you did something like level all trust NPCs to 90 before moving to PS5, then you’re just completely locked out of getting the trophy. The way trophies pop on PS5 needs serious work, otherwise it’s just a huge middle finger to PS5 players saying their accomplishment didn’t matter prior and that they need to do it all over again for it to count.

I think a lot of problems would be solved by showing your achievement score on your adventuerer plate. Maybe let you pick your favorite achievement or a list of titles to display there as well.

Could even delete the worthless GC rank section from Adv plates to make more space for it.

Title should be a field that saves to gearset.

While we're at it, each gearset should be (1) the gearset name, (2) a title to set, (3) a page of actually equipped gear, and (4) a page of glamours.
