That's even assuming a direct confrontation between SE and their hacker, not even accounting for 3rd party infrastructure which SE has no control over. I'm here with a Cybersecurity degree to tell you that's simple the nature of the beast that is internet security. They can only "resolve" the attack in a more permanent fashion once they figure out exactly how the attack is occurring, in the same way doctors can only cure a disease once they figure out exactly how it's making you sick.

People should be a little more reasonable about this. It's not Square's fault, yet there are a few too many people in this thread trying to blame them as if they aren't doing enough. I understand it's inconvenient and frustrating as a player but trust me, y'all, this is something that's affecting their bottom line. They are absolutely doing something about it as quickly as they can.
Almost one week of dc here and there isn’t really enough for me to be concerned.. if this was happening before expansion maybe but at the moment I’m sort of glad it’s happening but it will then make future attacks less effective if they can find and plug what vulnerabilities are causing this. Like you said doesn’t matter how good your security is… people will get through if they try hard enough… also when you have companies like Amazon and google who have far greater spending and server infrastructure crumble to these it really puts into light how arm chair dev some users are… also probably read your ToS I doubt they have to compensate anyone for this sort of scenario cause it’s not something cause by them it’s an outside issue lol. I do hope it gets resolved soon but for now plenty of games to play lol
