You think Blizzard was never brought down by DDoS attacks like this? Happened back when I played WoW, too. It's something that happens on the internet. It is not an “attack”. It is a failure of Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. to provide proper server infrastructure to protect their top revenue earner. The likely reason is that Square Enix cannot afford it or refuses to fund it. This is the same company that gave us such stalwart classics as Endwalker and FF16, yes, but it’s also the same company that made 1.0, Harvestella, FF12-15, and a dozen gacha games that closed in a year. And it’s no surprise that they’re literally going broke. And like anyone who’s bad at his job, this company blames anyone but itself.
But you still think Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. is doing better than Microsoft Activision-Blizzard, right?
Yoshi P need to talk to Phil Spencer about it. Then Presidnet of USA, Elon Musk, Bill Gates and finally Mr.Beast for this outrage.

Amazon and Microsoft have been brought down by ddos attacks. No one is safe and anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't understand how internet infrastructure or ddos attacks work.
Does every thread on the English forums turn into a dumpster fire of people who don't know what they're talking about?
Yeah, people are addict and impatient
>pay real money to access a service when I want
>Can't access in the past 12 hours because they are getting hacked (again)
>They will get away with it without compensation or at least a free sub day.
"You're addicted, obsessed omg so mean please understand and if you don't like unsubbb!!!"
Every company who provides internet based services can be DDoS'ed. There was a MAJOR one in October last year over Cloudfare, Amazon and Google, they handled it like champs and it was barely noticeable by the common user. This kind of attack is very common...

Most of the time, SE handles it like a champ and we barely notice it (this has been happening for years to this game and we don't normally notice). The attackers just found a way to make it noticed this time.
