Welp... here I am again. I just finished all the shadowbringers post game content. I no longer can advance in the MSQ because I do not own endwalker but own Dawntrail. I wanted to finish Endwalker before dawntrail so I am not catching up just to do the most recent content. No sale yet on the game. Newegg is selling the Endwalker for $35 bucks, but hmm wondering what I should do

Let's be honest, you already know what you're going to do Just take the $35 hit and move on with the awesome story.

Just be patient and level up all the crafting/gathering/do relics and deep dungeons or take a break. Don't encourage them to continue this nonsense by buying an expansion for full price 6-7 weeks before the new one comes out. It is a PRE-PURCHASE not a pre-order. There's no reason to not have access to what you have paid for already.

I have up to endwalker with PlayStation licenses and I'm caught up with MSQ. Does that mean I'm barred from early access for dawntrail despite pre ordering and registering it? You have to wait for full release? This is confusing

If you have completed all of Endwalker main story with your PS and have at least a starter edition on Xbox, during early access you should have access to the Dawntrail main story using your Xbox. You will not be able to do any Endwalker content (like side content) on Xbox until the official launch in July.
