Better communication/quest system etc

ehm well you know that there will be actual like over 200 quests.. and more will be added regularly? in FFXIV 2.0. you wont level up by grinding!.. so you will with hundreds of quests .

and im not talking about story missions. -_-

I just posted that i do all side quest and by running over every town and going out in the field to every spot where we have NPC in the world just to find side quests. And i don't mind if i'm not all class level 50 i love taking my time and enjoy playing while doing thing in real life too.So if they add 200 more side quests bring it on i'll search for them all.

It's also usually not a problem that you have to return to the NPC anyway. Often times, they are in or near the main cities, and you can just wait with finishing the quest until next time you have to go there anyway. Unless your quest log is full. Maybe we should just be able to have more quests active at the same time?

Who talked about cutting the storyline? No one. I just can't stand people acting like all offended when someone say that he doesn't care about the story. Everyone play the way he likes. No one is forced to like the story.

However you did say that people shouldn't play if they don't like the storyline ("why do you even play"). Which is completely stupid. All kind of players should be welcomed and its money for SE anyway.

I just give my point of view. What is bad in getting all the quest that goes in the same spot set the town as home point or just pay 2 anima to return .. then teleport to the spot where all the quest you took goes to same spot. do them and return to town reclaim them ..there many wiki telling the quest and where to go. so its easy to know which quest should be done at the same time to be done in time.That's how i do it. I even use a piece of paper sometime to wrote them in order.

How is this different from tell or linkshells? Or do you mean on-the-fly linkshells being created?

ehm its a private chat? in a linkshell you normally talk to 20+ persons at the same time. a private chate would create a new window to chat with friend, not being in your LS.

or chatting with bigger groups of people. in Dark Age of Camelot for example you could form battlegroups, more than one group, (and battlegroup chats) for bigger encounters

I think this is already implemented. You can search for a group or list yourself as searching for people to join your group. Or are you looking for something different?

Not its not.. you can search for groups.
But not for groups who are actual seeking players.

in FFXI (10 years ago!) there was an option for groups to flag themselves as "recruiting players".
its an advantage for the group and a single player itself.

right now only a solo player can flag himself for "looking for group" and not the way around, that groups flag themselves for seeking people.

3. Walk back to quest issuer.. I dont exactly catch your problem here. Anima? Hamlet got us covered. Remember, we suppose to be role playing. And not all (part) of the quest make us back to issuer, sometime a message come to our pearl, and we continue from that point. Clearly you dont know this. Stop lazying and do more quest

I always enjoy myself when reading suggestions from people on the OF.

They usually go like this:
Newer player: Hey, these modern features that make the game more playable/fun/easy to access/able to make progress with small playtime would be nice

Actually, there is a feature like that buried somewhere deep within the menus. I don't use it given I almost exclusively only party with people I personally know or people I hear shouting for help for hours on end, but I do know i've seen it and, according to many things i've read on these forums, JP groups pretty much ask you to join their group through that feature rather than request a party invite from the leader.

I think story based quests you should return to the NPC I like the NPC interactions and cutscenes. It what makes Final Fantasy special.
Leves reward you instantly and soon we will have delivery Moogles so maybe rewards could be mailed.

Voicechat no thanks I don't want an Xbox Live experience. Leave it third party.

As for mail I think they will add a mail alert similar to the NPC Linkshell alerts and you can click to summon the Mail Moggle.

The looking for party channel is a must and will cut down in shout spam.
I also want the Looking for party toggle and overhead icon to return from FFXI.
