Petition for Spanish Translation of Final Fantasy XIV

I hope this initiative bears fruit!
As much as I love the English localization we have to admit it is atrocious for people with a basic understanding of English.
My wife would love to play the game but she got frustrated because she couldn't understand some of the more, lets say weird, words used on the English localization (I love Koji and the whole team of course, never change!).
In our opinion not even a full Spanish dubbing is needed (I can't imagine how costly that would be), but definitely a Spanish translation of the texts and subtitles would be great!

Even though the translation may be difficult and really long (Looking at you, Urianger) I really hope they consider the translation! There are a lot of people I know who want to try the game, but they don't understand more than basic english. Also, Alphinaud's VA is supporting.

Given how much of the world is Spanish Speaking I fine it absurd that SE is not developing native language FFFXIV content for them. That is a HUGE market being ignored.

Because of damage to the speech center of my brain, I really struggle with other languages. I've tried Spanish, French, and American Sign Language and I just can't learn them.

So, when I see someone from another culture trying to learn English, I'm filled with empathy. It can be damn hard.

You shouldn't need to learn another language to play FFXIV. Spanish is one of the most common languages in the world and it'll be a mistake on the part of Square Enix to not recognize that.

Please make a Spanish translation, Square Enix.

Hey OP (and I guess everyone in the thread interested in this language being added to the game), I've got a question for you: Latin American localization and dub, OR Spaniard localization and dub, and why should they do one over the other.

I've seen feuds happen over which is better for decades, and I'm curious about how you guys feel.

I second the motion for a Spanish translation.

I'm a Spanish native speaker but have been playing the English localization for almost 11 years now (since Closed Beta 3), and have recommended the game to many of my IRLs in the past. For some, the fact that there is no Spanish version is a dealbreaker.

I would love for them to be able to finally play this game the way they prefer to play their games.
