No, but saying that tail-less races (whether or not they originally have tails) are just hyur seems kind of silly when they have other traits, like bunny ears. Could've also said miqo'te. They still have cat ears even without tails.

That's why they said

I'd rather see more effort put into accommodating tails than just a toggle to turn them off.

Tails are an important part of several races and hacking them off always feels wrong to me. (and the tail wrap works in cartoons, but imo it doesn't look natural in more realistic depictions, especially since some models have shorter tails that won't fit all the way around, and because we can customize the length so that would likely require a different animation control scheme than what we currently have or else we're going to get bisected by our tails)

Agreed. I'd rather see tails actually taken into consideration when designing gear. They're already quite forgotten and have even been completely removed from some gear pieces in Endwalker. That is worrisome, just like what happens with headgear on certain races.

Well, yeah, that would be the best when gear is designed to the tail, but it would be so much more work i guess than the the on/off switch... Maybe after 1-2 expansions if they really want it, but with the switch maybe possibble in 1-2 patches.. IF they want to give it to us.

I know what they said, and miqo'te don't look like hyur without tails. They look like miqo'te without tails. Much like how viera, even though they don't have tails but could, still don't look like hyur because they never had a tail. I'm not sure why you think I misunderstood.

Maybe they'll add cloth physics in graphics update #3 in the year 2039, and you'll be able to see your tail wiggling under one of the 7,300 capes/robes/coats instead of just poking through.

I don't expect they'll add a tail toggle though. That kinda sounds like they'd be admitting it's bad and admitting they don't want to fix it properly.

I mean, I imagine there's a lot of people that want a bob tail or have a headcanon RP thing about their character losing their tail so it'd be okay to have a toggle for tails, there's literally no reason to NOT give people more active customization/control of their own appearance.
