If I remember right buying crysta with paypal works so if you are in the US you might be able to set up paypal and use that to get around things. Might be worth checking in to if all else fails.I'm also Canadian (big surprise, right?) and Mao is right.
It also works similarly in America which due to circumstances I live in now.
But SE can't change my address to US, we can only edit street addresses, I am likely going to be denied using my credit card. Even buying Crysta via my credit card will probably have some issues, though I'm holding out that maybe all this negative press will make them change something.

I wish they would at least suspend housing auto demolition until the visa debit thing they acknoledged is fixed. It's not normal for a company that big to ask you to use a third party account to pay your subscription.

This entire new system is such a joke man
Oh dont worry its not even that, i created my account in france, where i still live, and my extremely run of the mill carte bleue/visa debit card isnt recognized anymore.
My guess is they went for the cheapest payment processor they could find to save money and didn't even bother to check that it could handle everything they needed. This is a complete clown show
Still not working for me.
How is "general discussion" the right place for this topic? At least move it to the website issues forum.
Gosh, I'm convinced these folks don't actually want customers.
The Visa Debit issue isn't a website bug. It's an issue with the payment processor.
I'm wondering if the problem is because the payment information form where we input our card number doesn't have a field to indicate whether it's debit or credit. Without separate flags in the data, it could be everything is being defaulted to credit on the processor's end. Any good processor should be able to tell from the card prefix if it's credit or debit but as others have said, this doesn't seem to be a good processor.
The address issue that others are having doesn't seem to be a website bug, either. It's probably another case of data provided by SE being misread by the processor's software.

ah it's a "website bug" in the context of it not being related to the game or the companion app. that is, it's a problem using the website, even though the actual issue is caused by a third-party that the website hooks into.
