    That's the problem. Unless SE officially supports their home countries in one of the EULAs, the only way they can play is by committing fraud.

    I'm not trying to claim anyone is a bad person for using a fake address or "borrowing" the address of an overseas friend. Gamers have been doing this for games not locally available to them for a long time. I wouldn't be surprised if a large chunk of the NA player base is guilty of doing it for other JP games that are locked to JP only.

    But it comes with risks and unfortunately we've hit a situation where the risk finally came back to bite people. I highly doubt that SE wants to be turning away the SEA players but they may be caught between a rock and a hard place thanks to all the card scams that were going on in 2021/2022 and whatever is keeping them from doing business in the SEA countries.

    If none of the workarounds that still work for others are options that affected players can attempt, they may have to accept they're not going to be able to play the game anymore.

    Yup. This is the truth. Its as simple as the company making bad decision (and have always been) when it comes into mogstation. Its as simple as that.

    And to the posters who replied to my post. I merely stated its a sensitive subject to be either directly or indirectly calling certain group as fraudsters. You dont need to try and justify it by sweeten those actions by using other politically correct words. Not to me fam, I dislike discrimination a lot. Discrimination is bad. End of story.

    Im pretty sure in certain countries even calling certain group by certain words are seen as bad. Let alone "fraudster".

    I don't think it's hard to understand why people don't like someone who's wholly unaffected by any of the issues coming into a thread by people who are affected by the issues and telling them "Well, I guess you just can't play anymore.".

    SE store wont even let me purchase dawntrail. If the intent is forcing SEA players out of their game, its definetly working.

    I think a lot of people don't understand the extent of the issue in this thread.
    I made my account 10 years ago, living in a supported region.
    I have since moved to a different country that uses a different supported currency within that same supported region.

    I am unable to change my listed country of residence or the currency that I'm charged in. Customer support have told me it's not possible. Twice.

    If I now touch my sub or would like to take a break, my bank card that is issued by the new country will be blocked as it doesn't match my listed residential country.

    That is just a terrible system and terrible customer service. They obviously are aware of the SEA player base and want to include them as they've had official FF fan events in one of those countries. It's just nonsensical.
