Items that can never be acquired again after they are discarded

    Hello everyone,
I would like to know if there is a complete list of items that can never be acquired again after they are discarded.
    E.g.:
    • The "Ring of Freedom" that you get at the start of the game cannot be repurchased anywhere.
    • On the other hand, the "Voice of the Just" earrings that you wear during the princess' banquet can be repurchased.
Knowing such a list would vastly simplify my approach to the glamour dresser as I would only bother keeping such irreplaceable items and the ones that I think look really cool and want to actually appear as.

I think there's missing item feature in the game, you can report in-game about an item that you discarded, mine was zeta axe weapon, discard them during cleaning and when i feel like i want it back, i cant because its over a month of lost, so of you want to retrieve item you can ask trough in-game. Its one time only tho or i heard

Looking at my Voice of the Just, it has the indicator at the bottom that it should be on the calamity salvager guy. And sure enough, when i pull up his menu its on there with the other quest reward items. I could be wrong, but aside from any items that might have been removed that youre still holding, the ring from the merchant in the first scene might be the only one(mine was a ring of fortitude - he has 4 depending on which answer you give). Though i welcome anyone with more knowledge on this to correct me.

@Ecto - They werent asking about item recovery, they were asking about items that the game only gives you once and you cant re-earn.

PvP ranked rewards. If you accidentally delete them they are gone, they don't have the armory treatment sadly.

@Ecto I've read about this feature but I am interested specifically in learning the items not necessarily that are difficult to get, but that are strictly impossible to get again after you sell / desynth / discard them (except through GM contact like you mentioned)
@Frizze could you please tell me exactly what you mean by "the indicator at the bottom that it should be on the calamity salvager"? I am not sure I understand what I am looking at.
    @Ash That's a good example thank you.
I wonder if such a list even exists somewhere.

No prob. So at the bottom of the item card for Voice it says:

    Sale Price: 100 gil (Restricted)
This means there is a shop who sells the item in question for 100 gil. In the case of quest-related items like this, its typically the Calamity Salvager in each of the 3 starting cities. Look under the Quest-related Items category. Its set up this way in case a new player accidentally deletes the item before doing the quest that requires it. They can get it back and continue the MSQ. The Gridania mask and Limsa... looks like shoes... get the same treatment. But they have a bunch of other quest-related items too, so you can use them as extended item storage since its cheap and quick to re-acquire anything they have.

I think the original onion helmet would be lost if discarded too, as well as the dalamud horn, but these are 1.x items.
The rings you mentioned initially had 4 versions too, depending on what you want in your journey.

There was once a Diadem PvE area, which included a rare encounter called Emergency Mission that needed like a raid of 50-100 people to complete it. It dropped random job i280 aetherial weapons, the pink namecolor, which had randomized stats - meaning some could be crazy good, even better than the i275 savage raid weapons. The skin however was a reskin of a pvp skin, but to have such a weapon even now would be quite rare and you never get it back another time. If you get synced to lvl 60 it might be the best weapon available.

Atm there are some items that have a ???? if they come back, things like the inferno jacket, you potentially have to wait years to obtain them again. Same with some mounts that were released in other regions already.

But most items you can get back again, or rebuy with real money, or grind forever for. 1.x items, msq start items, PvP Ranked and removed content like aetherial gear from low lvl dungeons and Diadem, might be the only sources of items that never can be obtained again.

While yes, you only get one depending your choices. If you don't bind it, you can sell it on the Market Board. You can also make an alt and have a friend send it to you. I know this because I sold the crafter ring (Ring of Fortune)for obscene amounts of gil in the beginning of ARR. I made alts, sent the ring to a friend, then sold it on my main.
