You are missing half your skills from 30-50 and every skill after 50. It's not really a challenge so much as just playing essentially a level 30 class at max level.

Dps checks in savage would be missed entirely.

The last time I ended up in a level 30+ dungeon with someone without a job stone was like 3 years ago, and it was only Brayflox's Longstop...not exactly the most difficult of dungeons.

Is this something you regularly run into, or did it happen only once and you decided to make a big deal about it?

What's even the point of jobstones? apart from accessing alot of free hotbar space that you can creatively use to make nice collapsable hotbars etc...
    Apart from lore...

Quite honestly, it's not the jobstone... it's the player. I have once had a PGL in Tower of Zoth yet he didn't die and did fine.

    - Seraphism is BAD.
    - Give us back Shadowflare and make Deployment/Emergency Tactics affect Biolysis
    - Give us back Rouse
    - Make pet management rewarding.

Sure you wouldn't be happy if that was a Gladitor or conjurer instead, It's a lot less noticable on DPS jobs, it will just slow your run down more then anything.

It's the same thing if it were tanks and healers. The run will also be slower. Tjere's no denying the advantage of having your jobstone equipped but it is not impossible. I'd take a GLA than a PLD who refuses to turn on Iron Will, any day.

if you have a PLD above 30+ who is refusing to turn on Iron will then I think they're Griefing and it's time to leave the dungeon or vote kick them (this is pretty much the same case if you had a healer refusing to heal or a DPS afking, then it's justified to actually kick them in this case). This also sounds like something someone who doesn't know about job stones would do more then a gladiator, it should be the games and player bases job to guide them in the right direction, In general I think it's more healthy if the game told someone to put on a job stone.

The game should help newer players by telling them that they should get the job stone and do job quests, If I was new I'd at least want my abilities and to have a understanding of what I should be doing in general.

I don't what's wrong with the game pushing players in the right direction, I don't think it's fair on the other 3 players either... which is also important.

I wonder if they'll ever fix that. Somehow I doubt it

Easy fix. Get rid of base class and start off the actual job at level 1. So would be paladin at 1 instead of gladiator
